How to find regular posters when transferring

If I'm not transferring anything and want to design a poster, I can easily find posters by clicking "Create New Product," but if I'm trying to transfer a design to a poster, I end up on a page full of everything but simple posters. I've looked through all of it, and there are no simple, matte posters. Am I just not seeing them, or have they been left out?

@Barbara I can't find any matte posters either - perhaps they've stopped doing them? Satin, Semi gloss or Glossy are your only options it seems

@Sara_H: The matte posters definitely exist, but you sure can't transfer a design to them. If you don't go through the "Create New Product" button, you end up with all kinds of posters that, quite frankly, mean nothing to me along with items that definitely are not posters. I wish Zazzle would stop doing this sort of thing.

Interesting ... I first chose the CREATE button on the left of the page, then chose VIEW ALL.
I typed in poster.

This opened a page where CREATE YOUR OWN POSTERS & WALL DECOR had Create your own images that sorted by VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL and more. A further section below this was to FILTER the 61 types of "poster" by price color, etc. ... Looks more like a purchaser's view than a designer's view.

I did open one of the first Poster ICONS for VERTICAL. This product page had selections For SIZE, FRAMES, PAPER TYPE. Once I added an image and clicked DONE, I did get the SELL IT button, however, ONLY the size was left as a choice.

2nd search: I searched from the drop-down ARTS, CRAFTS... -- Same as above,

3rd search: I searched for "pillow" and the usual search results came up. From that page, I searched "poster" and the above "New" search result.

It seems that Zazzle is "improving" things again. PLEASE return to allowing choices before and after the product is posted.

Hi @Barbara,

Our team confirmed that there is a technical error present here. A fix is in the works but unfortunately I don't have an ETA on when you may see an update. Thanks for highlighting this with us and for your patience as we work to resolve it.

All the best,

@Pádraig Just to add to the discussion.

I've tried to transfer (and start from scratch) to a poster. 61 items appear but they are termed 'photo enlargement' items.

So I went to Zazzle search, put in posters and the results gave me designs on Archival Heavyweight Paper (Matte)
Value Poster Paper (Matte) and various others - all of which I was looking for. However when I search to create my own none of these appear.

Some advice would be welcome.

Hi @PlayfulPixel,

No problem at all, all comments are welcome. We have established that there appears to be an issue with these posters appearing when attempting to transfer a design to this product. However, the CYO poster is appearing for me at the top of a poster search here. You will see the matte and value options along with the other enlargements you mentioned. I'm also seeing the poster at the very top of the CYO page here, under the Vertical Poster option.

I hope that helps.

Using transfer, we're given:

28 Premium Satin Photo Paper Photo Enlargement - just a confusing collection of various sizes & shapes

8 Poster Paper Semi-gloss (not much choice in sizes)

21 Foam Core

4 Foil Print

Why are there 28 of the Premium Satin Photo Paper Photo Enlargements? Why isn't there just one, which would bring you to a page where you can choose size and shape? Same goes for the other over-represented types. The way a person chooses which size is by clicking on the size to see image fit, not guessing while looking at templates.

As of today, there's still no way to transfer a design to a standard, matte poster. You're forced to create the poster from scratch.

EDIT: I've just now found a way to do it, but it's a roundabout solution: Transfer the design to a product that shows posters as a transfer option, then transfer what you that design to a poster. Shouldn't have to do it this way.

EDIT #2: Nope. The image is transferred but nothing else like title, tags, etc.

Yep, same here. Had to start from scratch to get the poster I wanted. Sigh...

The only solution, I guess, is to remember to design the poster first before adding transfers. Not a good solution, of course.
