Looking for a Map Program / Widget / Code for website that I can add pins to....

Hi Everyone,

It has been lots of fun for me/us to start selling birthday cards for kids.  In fact, we are kind of obsessed with it right now...lol.  We have built out a basic website that we feel we can start promoting to... Pacifiercitycards.com and would love to start adding some "FUN"

One thing that we came up with was to have a map of the world, preferably one that the user could zoom in on, that would show where our cards have been sent.  A customer could look at it just for fun, but could potentially see that no cards have been sent to their town, and therefore the birthday child could not possibly receive or have received one of our cards.  It might end up being too much work to update, but as we are still selling less than 10 cards a day, we think it could be fun.

If there is something out there that you know of or think might work, would you be kind enough to pass it along?  It would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

PC

I had looked into something like this a while back, and the closest I found was to do a custom/saved Google Map, add your own locator pins, then embed that onto a website.

That was quite a while ago, and there are likely "prettier" tools or plugins out there now, but that's what I had decided on (though never put into place, as the maintenance exceeded my personal bandwidth at the time).

Have fun with it!

@KC  I used to have a global map on Google to track my sales. I stopped updating several years ago, but it was a kick to see where things went to.

While I was hoping to find something for free... this site is pretty neat.  https://mapfling.com/  They do offer a free version but it is limited to 10 pins.  That doesn't work for me.  Their Pro version costs $11.88 a year.  That's just under a buck a month.  It offers way more than I am looking for but looks promising.  I still need to do some research, but so far it is at the top of my list.  And I figure a buck a month is worth it.

Thought I'd share as other might find a dollar a month to have this feature worth it.
