Looking for Advice on Wedding Invitations

Hi, I have been working on wedding invitations lately and currently have about 15 or 16 suites. (Not all complete) I wanted to try and keep it traditional and Catholic, but I have a few that are not. However, none of them have sold. Not one. While I have sold several Unity Candle sets, no invitations or other wedding items. Just wondering, is there something I should be doing differently?

I would think if you want to enter that arena you really need to aggressively market yourself outside of Zazzle. Wedding invitations/wedding products in general are a pretty highly saturated niche on this platform. As searches are limited to the first 15 pages of results it's unlikely that your invitations are even found in a marketplace search (perhaps briefly if sorted by 'newest'... but so many are added constantly that it won't last long) and what cannot be found isn't going to be sold. Until/unless you can gain a large enough foothold (which means lots of views and sales) in the genre to appear in searches, you'll have to take the lion's share of the responsibility for getting people into your store to view and consider buying those items.

This is going to go for any subject or product that generates a lot of results... If you are ever noticing your items aren't being viewed check - search the market place the way you'd expect a customer to if looking for your item - go to "add filter" check the box for "creator store" and see if you can find yours on the list. If you don't see it, you don't appear in those 15 pages of results, so you'll need to put in even more effort to get your items seen.

Great advice - self marketing is key.

Like Penguin said, the wedding market is very saturated, so it can be hard to get found without a lot of outside promotion. However, your particular niche, traditional Catholic weddings, is less saturated, so I think there's still a pretty good chance of getting found by having the right titles and tags. I took a look at a few of your invitations, and noticed that you didn't use all 10 tags. I have a difficult time myself with titles and tags, so I know it's hard to come up with 10 good tags. If you go to Zazzle and do a search for "traditional Catholic wedding invitations," you can click on a few of the top results and see what tags they are using, to get some ideas. Also, when you have 20 products with basically all the same title, Zazzle seems to give those less attention. So try to vary up the titles for the different pieces in each collection, by adding a few words (for example: "United in Christ Traditional Catholic Wedding Invitation," "Catholic United in Christ Elegant Wedding RSVP," etc. (I'm not a pro when it comes to titles and tags, so I'm sure you can come up with some better ideas).

Also, if you posted them recently, it does take a few months at least for the products to really gain traction in the marketplace. I know that's one thing I always have to remind myself, because I expect sales right away when I post a new design in a popular niche. But the more saturated a niche is, the longer it takes to break into, even with a smaller sub-niche.

Lastly, if you can afford a course, I can recommend a good one that has helped me IMMENSELY! (I don't think I can post anything here, but you can hit me up in Zazzle Chat.) It's expensive, but last year I more than doubled my income that I had earned in my whole lifetime on Zazzle before that!

P.S. Have you seen Zazzle's new Real Foil Cards? I think a lot of your designs would look fabulous in gold foil!

Thank you - great advice! Yeah, I know some of those titles are very similar. I was getting confused between them myself after a while!

I would love a course, but at the time I'm not in a position to spend money. Maybe later, I don't know. I might send you a message to find out more about it.

P.S. Yes! I am currently working on some foil cards now.

Eedo your titles tags! you will do a lot better. Try putting each title and tag in search bar to see what comes up.  Yours are not working for you.

Sorry should say, Redo you titles and tags

Any suggestions for tags? Am trying to reach the traditional Catholic audience.
