Pinterest Boards and Sections

I just want to make sure I'm using this feature as intended ... I have some boards and within those boards I have added some sections. I assume it's to allow for larger boards to be more organized? So for example a "Christmas" board with sections underneath like "Christmas Cards," "Christmas Wrapping Paper," "Christmas Home Decor," etc.

Am I using sections correctly?

I'm not very social media savvy, I just know enough to get myself in trouble.

My memory... from about a year or so ago... is that pins that get put into sections are indexed differently and may not be idexable (is that a word) by google bots etc.  I haven't looked into it lately, so that may have changed...

But I would do some research about pins that get put into sections and how visible they are both on and off Pinterest before I go making a bunch.  Don't get me wrong.  I have an account that is full of sectioned pins, but that was before I heard/read about those pins being less findable... 

Again, that is just from memory and quickly looking at old bookmarked Pinterest blog links did not turn up anything useful on this subject... but there is something in the back of my brain about it...lol.  and that it may not be the best thing to do...  It may have been that those pins don't show up in peoples feeds...idk...

I miss some of the post from the old forum....

Oh and remember that 90% of what Pinterest user see is from their feed or through a search feed.  Less than 10% will ever make it to you boards or account.  It really is all about the pins!
