These are some of the stats on one of my dartboards.
Orders (all time): 411
Item Sold: 415
Quantity Sold: 422
And here on some business cards
Orders (all time): 111
Item Sold: 127
Quantity Sold: 253
I understand the difference between Orders (all time) and Quantity Sold. What does "Item Sold" mean and why is it different than Quantity Sold? It seems like those two phrases should mean the same thing.

OK, I think I kind of figured it out but not sure how to explain it so here's an image that should do it:
In the Royalty History, each time a customer customizes the product differently, its a separate line item with its own order# below the PID even though it's all on the same order. "Item Sold" corresponds to the total number of line items//customizations for a product. So basically, each customization is treated like it's own unique item.
So A in KS placed 1 order, for a total of 8 glasses (Quantity Sold) with 8 different customizations (8 Items Sold). Meanwhile, W in NJ also placed 1 order, for a total of 14 glasses (Quantity Sold) with 2 different customizations (2 Items Sold). And then W in NJ came back the next year and placed 1 order for a total of 10 glasses (Quantity Sold) all the same way (1 Item Sold).
I looked at a couple of products, cross-checking Quick Stats with Royalty History entries and get the same results; Quantity Sold is total of the PID sold across all orders and line items, Item Sold is how many unique versions/line items of that PID was sold.
Where it gets complicated is products with a minimum order, like return address labels where it's a minimum of 5 sheets per customization. Here, the Quantity Sold is the total number of individual sheets, not total number of 5-minimum "sets". Same with tissue paper where there's a minimum quantity of 3. So for products like this the Quantity Sold is always going to be way higher than Item Sold or Orders.
For things actually sold as a set (as opposed to a minimum quantity) like say bath towels or oven mit/potholder or the new glasswares, all of which the individual pieces of the sets can also be ordered individually, no idea how those numbers work. I do remember a thread from quite a while back where someone was specifically asking about this re the bath towel sets but I don't recall if Z ever came back with an answer.
* Your mileage may vary, there are probably some idiosyncrasies around that only Z could explain, this is just what I've found cross-checking some of my own stats.

@JerryLambert No because I had a customer ordering business cards from me. He made one order but ordered three units (of hundred cards) which means he made one order but the product has sold three times.

Odd. For some reason, I have no "Item Sold" in my stats. Just orders and quantity.

I can't figure it out either. I wish Zazzle would explain exactly what the different terms mean.

That seems to make sense. Perhaps the wording should be changed. Something like 'Items Cust' or something that is a little more obvious.

We definitely don't see much in the way of active participation by Zazzle in the forums. I bet they have fewer employees than before the pandemic.
