10 days ago, I deleted every product and images too. I'm still selling products.
I deliberately chose to close at the end of October so that all funds I had accumulated would clear and my final pay out would be in December.
Could someone at Zazzle tell me how this is so?

I am not someone at Zazzle but ...
The Creator License Agreement says
No specific time frame is actually given, just "not immediate ... during regularly scheduled operations" .
I don't think it's true that buyers can re-order forever via their Order History. There are plenty of things in my Order History, including my own designs that I know still exist, that just give me the "oops! product not found" page when I click on them. Neverminding that, if Z allowed customers to perpetually re-order even after removal of product, they would be violating their own terms that say only orders placed prior to the [completed] removal will be fulfilled.
So I don't know but sounds like "de-indexing" to remove from all the places something might be cached takes longer than "indexing".

Are they repeat customers? I believe any customized products remain accessible to those who purchased them, even if the original product is deleted.

Possibly? One is a business badge and the other a business card. So there is a possibility that is the case.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me--all products deleted, all collections, all images--and after that, I sold a couple products. At least the royalties are only $4 and change. I'm not about to argue for a final payout. They can keep it. I looked through royalties, by the way, and though I might have missed it, I didn't find the same person buying the product previously, but I guess they must have.
What I'm left wondering is, what if someone else comes in to buy something they'd previously purchased and orders it? Who's credited with the royalties?

Indeed, what we don't know can't hurt us, or so the saying goes. I'm now in true retirement and nothing is allowed to intrude.

Reading through what you found, I'd say both LM and I may now be safe from further orders, though there's nothing about money owed for those "extra" orders we've garnered. Obviously, we can't wait for our payouts to hit the 50- or 100-dollar required amount for such a payout, so it remains to be seen what will happen in December. (Likely, nothing.)
P.S: I've searched all over and can't find where my avatar is so I can delete it. It's not very important, of course, but if LM could delete hers, it means the avatar is someplace, right?

Barbara, Col was speaking about my Profile image on my Member's Profile page. Like you, I have wiped out everything in stores, icons and banners.
As for the icon here in the forums... I can't find it either. lol

Yes, I looked in every nook and cranny for the forum avatar. I even remember creating it, but where? I guess I knew what I was doing at the time.
In the meantime, my computer is underscoring the decision to shut down my store. It's been crashing a lot, and finally this morning it told me it was way too hot and goodbye. Wretched thing.

I always thought that forum avatars were pulled from our Z member account? It's been ages since this "new" forum started and while I recall choosing my forum name at that time, I don't recall how it knew which Z member account to link it to. There is no where in forum settings to add a profile pic. So I think it pulls it from the Z member account and maybe "de-indexing" just hasn't happened fully for you yet.
Good to know though that one can delete their Zazzle member account and still participate in the community forums.

My memory on it is also flawed, but if the avatar is pulled from the member account, the one that showed on my store account is now blank, so this means that, if it's pulled from that, the image is duplicated in a smaller size to be used here. Anyway, that's what has emanated from one of my brain cells.
As for accounts, my empty store is listed as private, so it's still there, but I bet if I delete it, the account isn't automatically deleted.
@DancingPelican Thank you for your kind words. It's probably going to take time to wean myself off the forum. Old habits and friendly people are hard to break away from, though I have to say I'm having a blast drawing, painting, and binding my own sketchbooks without being the least concerned about where any of it will land because none of it is destined for sale.

Barbara it's funny how you take the "selling the art" out of the picture makes the art more enjoyable to create doesn't it? I'm experiencing the same.

16 years is a long time to work on something and then *poof* it's gone. My choice and I'm not regretting my decision. 😊

Softly meowing to see you go, @LMGildersleeve
I guess the option to start a career as stand-up comedian was too tempting ... 🙂
Hugs and lots of well wishes for your new life!
