A customer sent me this screenshot and asked for my email address because she wants to purchase a product. I’ve never seen this message before, what is that? My email address is no secret but that a customer would need it in order to buy a product, that’s new to me?

I'm not positive, but I would not respond to the customer until you find out for sure what this is. I've read that sellers on Etsy are getting this exact type of message asking for their email address, and it is a scam. I'm sure zazzle will let you know if it's legit, but until you hear otherwise, I definitely would not respond at all, just to be safe.

Thank you, yeah that could be. Weird because my official shop email address is everywhere anyhow so they don’t need to ask for that 😁 and I’m not giving them the email address that I use to login so… she can have my store email address…

Good thinking! My best guess is that they try to go after email addresses that are used to login to Zazzle because lots of designers are posting their official email to the website or store anyways so why put in the extra work and ask after that? After all the marketing spam guys in the chat now we have this LOL

DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!! That is a fake screen- you can see that it's Photoshopped. Look at the right upper corner where it says Email Address> Payment> Review Order. Not only did they make "Email Address" a different color, which doesn't even make any sense, but you can see they covered over something else, probably "Order."

Today I received a message from a customer who also requested my email to purchase an item. I responded that it was not necessary and that if you think there is a technical problem, contact customer service. Should I report the message and block the sender?

Totally a scam! They are getting smarter. Today I received the same kind of message but this time, they said they already contacted tech support and they were told that probably I had the auto-order feature disabled!
I just reported the user and blocked it.
I'm getting so tired of these scam messages. Lately, I've been getting one almost every day!

They could be using the email addresses to scam other people. I once got a scam email and was surprised that they used my email address in the "From field". Or maybe they are harvesting addresses to make an email list that they then sell.
