Collection additions sorting backwards

Thanks for the collection updates, very cool. I'm having an issue with how new items are being added though, it used to be they were added at the beginning but now it's at the end, so I constantly have to move the newest ones. May we have a sort order option to always have new additions first in the collection?

I have the same issue and same request, please!

@Flobaby Collections have had a major upgrade and now new added products go to the bottom and I can't see that being changed. You can easily rearrange the order by pressing edit on the collection and going into the new Collections Management area where you can drag and drop to your heart's content - read here for more details https://www.zazzle.com/creators/playbook/collection+types @LemicheStudio

Easy is in the mind of the beholder, I guess. To have to deal with it each and every time is a pain. Dragging and dropping is actually a tedious chore. If you could choose several at once, then use the arrow, that'd be great, but you have to do each one individually.

ETA  - and now we don't have the arrows! Oy, this is annoying.

I liked the arrows, hope to get them back because the drag and drop is not very handy on Ipad.

Until this recent change, every time I added a product i had to move it to the back - each and every time. So I do understand your pain. It is a shame they can't let us set that parameter, so we can both be happy.

I agree!

I like the new feature to add the new products to the end of the collections. I have my collections arranged the way I want, and before, whenever I added more products, I'd have to go in and move them. Now they go right to the end, so I don't have to move them unless I want to.

Hi Creators,  in regards to sorting. There was a bug present preventing people from dragging and dropping, but this should be resolved as of last night.

Also, the addition of new products in a collection was changed to the bottom, as this makes more sense when you are adding to an existing one you might have organized a certain way. You now don't have to move it from position 1 which might have messed up your prioritized products.

Please make sure you are adding feedback on any and all changes to the designated form. Especially about the navigation arrows a few of you mentioned.

Thanks!

Thanks James, that's a shame since many of use prefer fresh content at the top of our collections. I filled out the form as you mentioned. Cheers.

There are also many of us who prefer new products to go to the bottom of the collection! I guess it depends on the niche, too. For my wedding collections, e.g., I have them arranged with the invitations, rsvps, enclosure cards, etc. at the top. If I later make a newlywed keepsake pillow and add it to the collection, I certainly don't want it to land at the top in front of the invitations!

I swear there was a drag and drop button last week to rearrange the products in a new collection. But now, the function is nowhere to be seen. Did I imagine this or is there still a bug?
Here's what I'm seeing in my collections where I believe there was a function... there's nothing there..

No rearrange button.png

I don't think there's a button for this. Just drag and drop and see if that works.

Oh for goodness sake. I did try this before posting. Honest Guv!
But of course, now it's working. Thanks.

I also prefer fresh new content at the top of most of my collections. I guess it comes down to collection type because I understand custom sorting with new content at bottom for some themes(weddings etc)…

If we just had the arrows back or “move to front/move to end”, it would make things so much easier. The drag and drop is glitchy and if you have a lot of products, you have to wait to load more… it makes it nearly impossibly to add a bunch of new things and move them all.
