Collections and color options

I am currently working on my wedding collections and want to keep them in color sets so I can post out on socials and have a theme of colors like blue and blush for example. However if someone comes in on a product and then sees the color circle pop up and clicks on a different color theme say my olive green and brown. They only see the color collection from the product they originally clicked on blue and blush below the now different color? This particularly for weddings is not ideal for the customer to find the whole collection easy. Instead they have to find my store enter and then search, which is reducing the chance of a related sale or sale at all in alternative colors as the customers may think nothing else is available in that color option. Can this be changed? Because of nesting and / or lack of visibility and too much in one collection, looking less aesthetically consistent. I don't want all my color options in just the one messy incoherent collection.

I agree. It's confusing because when you change to a different color, it only "sorta" takes you there. Like if you look at the URL it's the link to the original product you started with, not the color you just clicked on.

I frequently end up confusing myself because I'll be looking at one color, then I'll click to another one - but if you check the quick stats from there it gives you the stats from the original color, not the one you're looking at! You can download images and upload media from alternate colors, and it does seem to go to the correct place, but it's still weird.

Maybe there's some reason that it's better to do it this way? Sure seems to me that it would be easier/better all around if it actually took you to the other product when you changed colors instead of this limbo-land thing.

On a related note, I mostly like that these products are linked together:

But it looks kind of funny when you navigate through the color options.

With the collections now going up in importance see the latest email 😱 about getting covers showcasing multi items for your cover images or videos, or only one item from that collection will show up? It has never been more important to get things right for the start. Particularly for those of us with years or in my case 12 years of work to wade through sort and work out how to get it all to still be in the marketplace. I too have noticed that the color option doesn't take you through to the item only half way there... frustrating when we have different collections for each color option types. I have been putting a few colors together that work together hopefully that we help in two ways less collection covers and making it a bit easier for the customer to mix and match. It is so hit and miss at the moment. I worry I am not doing things the right way that is for sure.
