Frustration, collections in wrong shop.

I didn't notice that when the collection were "assigned" a shop when the new system came out some were put in the wrong shop. There was so much other stuff that need to be fixed I didn't notice that wedding collections are not in my wedding shop.

And "Note: this setting cannot be changed after the collection has been created." is really annoying!

So none of the new items I put in the shop can be added to the collection. ☹ I have to delete it and make a new one. And so now I'm wonder how many are in the right shop.

Just venting as that's all that can be done, but still not allowing us to put it in the correct shop is just weird.

Did you double-check to make sure those collections really aren't assigned to the correct shop? There's a glitch I get sometimes when I'm posting new products and trying to add them to a collection on the posting page, where they give me an error message that the products can only be added to a collection in the same store. But I checked, and the collections ARE in the right store! I can add them afterwards from the back end, just not on the product posting page.

Yes, I did, and they were assigned to the incorrect shop.  Now, I think we need an additional way to search collections--by shop.

I just came here  for the same reason .. as I'm trying to update my collections and adding  what items may be missing -  it came about as I was trying to add a save the date -  using the collection add, it told me I have no save the dates in my wedding shop..  which I have hundreds .. so OMG  thinking now what? finally saw it.. the collection zazzle somehow decided to assign to the wrong shop.. and it says once the shop is designated there is no changing it.. well I didn't designate it.. 😞 now what?   I'm sure I have shared this collection so if I delete it and create a new one,, all my links from who knows where over the years .. will not go anywhere.. OR I end up with  duplicate collections.. we seriously need to be able to change shops .. at least once.  I haven't even started to go through more of the older  collections yet, I expect this is not going to be the only one.

Agreed. The collections I share and post the most are the wedding collections.

I had a collection of Unity Candles made years ago and I just noticed it is made for the wrong store. What does it matter? You can link shops in your shops area. I am thinking that since I have links all over the internet like you do that I would just make a copy of the collection to the correct store and let them both run. I wish there was a fix because I worked big time on the banner. It was probably my first total collection way back when.  Just wondering what would the problems of making duplicate to the correct store be?

Yes, I've taken screenshots and marked which store they have the Collection connected which is not my main shop. They were able to correct it for one store but not the others. I've explained that if they can't fix it on their end, I'll have to delete the Collections and begin again. I'm also noticing that added items aren't showing even after 24hrs. I'm hopeful they'll be able to address this for all of us.

I am also to the point of not knowing what to do about this? I originally didn't have my wedding store so I have Anniversary and weddings with link backs over the internet to my main store. Plus some of the items are generic say some designs without writing like gift bags so in my general store. I created most of these in old collections across both stores no issues and only now it seems to be a big problem...
As quoted "Note: this setting cannot be changed after the collection has been created." is really annoying!
I have redone a few and duplicated the missing items but I have hundreds affected by this.... Many of which are good sellers for me too... I am struggling with knowing what to do. I am actually to point of praying we are going to be able to move items between shops (we have been waiting for this for years) Because I don't see an easy way forward to retrospectively do this unless we can tick see in both stores and you can add from both stores too. I am fine moving forward that is easy now we know. I feel all those starting out now have a big advantage over us who have been plodding away tirelessly for years as we have to spend all our time sorting out all the issues I still have pictures that need to be forcing customers to change them, tags that are wrong because back in the day we could do as many we wanted, phones that need upgrading to later models and don't show, t-shirts that is in a color currently out of stock... the to do list goes on. I am an artist or at least I used to be these days it is all admin just trying to keep up to have any hope of a few good sales. Meanwhile I am not producing as many new designs as I used to... I do hope Zazzle listens to our cries for help in this matter...🙏

@mylittleeden you can have the same collection in two shops or have it just in one even though it wasn't that store that initially created it.

Do this by going into edit the collection and click the Your Stores tab under Collection Channels (top right) then select the checkbox next to the store you want to appear in.

Then click save and that should make the collection appear in your other shop.

I can't add new products in so if I redo in my wedding store I can't get to the products in my main store. I am left with no option but to have duplicates... which I don't want as I already have more than enough product items to managed and keep out of the red zone! The amount of work just to keep up is close to breaking me... it is becoming over whelming. If only we could have a bone thrown our way?

@mylittleeden you can't add new products from a different shop if the collection is set as a cross sell but if it's a similar style/different or gift type, you can. All of your collections are attached to your member profile so when you are in the back end of any shop, and you use the drop down to 'add to collection' it will bring up all your collections from all your shops (and the cross sells would be greyed out)

If I could throw you a bone I would

How can I get rid of both shop ticks in a collection, meaning they are seen in both shops?  Mandalas are created for my the_Awakening shop, Not for the other Just_kidding shop, but they are ticked in both shops? I removed the one tick and clicked on the recommendation link of the Awakening shop, but what now?  I still cannot click the appropriate shop links because they are not highlighted.  On the front, visitors' views. My Mandala design is in the wrong shop, but I can't edit it.  What am I to do? I must have mixed the shops when I created all my Mandala designs. Very strange.
