how to get the yellow bar to green?

Do you need to do ALL the recommended products, or is there a set number, or is it something else?

It's whatever is a Required Product. This differs by collection type and is often not stated so we've been crowd sourcing it in the forum. What I know so far:

party- requires invitation

Halloween-requires at least 4 products from the Recommended group

Thanksgiving- requires a mug

Hanukkah- requires stickers

Back To School- requires a t shirt

I am sure there are others scattered throughout the forums.

It's possible that getting the yellow bar to green requires filling all recommended but the important thing is filling Required Products. That will get all channels enabled and out of the red.

Wow. It shouldn’t be this difficult to complete a collection.

Showing what the Required Products are seems resolved now.

No, at least not in the wedding collections. I think from memory the line will turn green around the 20-21 products mark. I'm saying 'no' to having to fill in each slot because, (again talking about the wedding collections - sorry but that's all I've done so far for the new collection format) I don't do wax stamps and the required/recommended slot in my collections is still empty for that, whereas if I've added in an 'extra' such as a paper plate then that makes up for the empty slot and reaches the magic minimum product mark to make the line turn green (20-ish).

Does it even matter getting the yellow bar to green? In my birthday, Christmas & Hanukkah collections, all the bars are yellow yet all 3 channels are enabled and I'm getting 0 warnings in red. All seems good?

You are not required to have all recommended products. This is up to you but they are the products that we have found are the most popular and sell the best for that event. There is 1 required product per collection that is called out with a yellow bubble saying “Required”. There was a bug where this bubble wasn’t showing for some collections but that has been fixed now.

Hi James,

For some reason I get notifications that I need 5 recommended products and then my collection will be visible. It has been a complicated process. I created a new collection with a lot of items and what are considered bonus items. I would have been able to publish the collection previously but had to search for each recommended item to make it visible.

I guess I'm lost because I am not seeing any bars, or requests for required items. I did most of my collections ages ago and many feature things from different stores because at the time I thought it was a good way to promote stuff from all my shops at once. Here is one of my collections where do you see the bars exactly? https://www.zazzle.com/collections/119607501184441747

This one, underneath "add products", when you're in the collection management of a particular collection.

I'm not going to be able to see it on your collection, you'll see it on yours, in the back end.

@TShirtfort you only see the bars if the collection is set as a Cross Sell type. If it's just a 'similar style', gift or different style type of collection the bar won't be seen when you go to edit a collection
