So I am working on my collection and I added a product with a fancy cover, but when I searched to find it, it was missing? I thought at first it was an issue and it hadn't been added so I took it out the collection then added it in again, still nowhere to be seen. BUT what I discovered was it was hidden behind the pink circle via edit themes... So does that mean the one nested here will have a reduced chance of ever being seen or the other way round now I have swapped them over? Because before I swapped them over I couldn't find it! I am not a fan... of this particularly in our back end it is confusing and worse meant that I thought an item I spent time on was lost. Does this affect sales too? Can we disable this feature?

Searched for it where?
In this small collection (11 products) of mine, all eight throw pillows are color-linked together on their individual product pages. When viewing the Collection page there is no indication they are color grouped, I can see all eight pillows, nothing is hidden/nested. I've never seen color-grouping swatches displayed on a Collection page so as far as I know this is normal.
On the other hand, when searching the MP, you only get one as a result (which specific one is shown depends on the search terms used) and can access the other seven via the color-swatch options which are shown on the results page.

The concern is are if we create similar products are they going to be visible to customers? Here is another issue. For example here I have 19 different invitations styles only customers need to see the tiny 18 items and work out they need to click to scroll through the rest. Whilst I love the collections generally now I am concerned about having too many items in a product type. No point in having lots of variations and choice for potential customers if they can't see what is on offer. In this example there is a nest and scroll. The colour option I love it as a rule but it doesn't seem to operate well with collections as well. Plus collections don't change with the color options when you click on them only the product itself changes. Hopefully these issues will be ironed out over time and solutions will assist getting all products we create to be found relatively easy.
