Altering a Product via Edit results in No previous Sales recorded

Hi techs,it is very disheartening to find that when you have gone to rectify issues with a product that has sold multiple times some in the hundreds, that they are automatically reduced to no sales status!  This would surely take that product to the bottom of the pile! Is there a way to rectify this. Thankyou Jillian.

If you want to retain the views and sales stats for a product, you need to use the "replace product" button, not the "sell it" button. Not every designer has access to that feature, but for those who do, the product must go through a review process to be sure that you're not substantially altering the design. If you publish your edited design using the "sell it" button, you are creating a new product - so in that case, none of the sales or views are retained.

I've seen folks on the forum saying that you could ask for access to the feature, but I'm not sure if that's for real or not. You could always send an email and inquire.

Just moving this to Create Products as there is no tech issue present.

Thanks!

Actually for many of us creators it is a 'tech' issue. For many of us we have to fix our designs due to the changes in available fonts. We aren't changing the design, simply fixing the font issue. I have many designs where the text no longer fits on the card due to font changes by Zazzle.

Why should I lose all of my sales and other stats for these products? I've gone from quite a few products in my card shop to barely any. And the ones I've fixed no longer have any stats attached.

I wouldn't mind going through the review process in order to keep what to me are necessary stats. If I recreate the products I even lose the product number so that it's no longer an available link in my Royalty / Earnings stats either.

If the Replace button is still available and being used by the Beta Testers why won't you make it available to all of us? If it's so glitchy why is it good enough for the Beta Testers to continue using?

I just saw your post Angel ,I agree we should not be penalized via stats Re products sold and viewed! There been a lot of work involved creating products and those that have performed well should not lose their status. Some best selling products never lose their popularity  even if they  were designed  some time ago!   Jillian
