I gave it a try and now I see the problem. Your template photo doesn't need to be heart shaped. Your svg frame needs to be heart shaped (which it is) but it also needs to be solid and it needs to mask your template photo.
- Take your heart shaped svg frame back to our design software and make it solid.
- Upload your now-solid heart shaped svg.
- Upload your template photo in its normal shape, not cropped to a heart.
- Your template photo should be in the layer directly above the svg heart shape. Make sure your template photo is sized large enough to cover the heart.
- Set photo to "template" and choose "fill" as the option.
- Select the photo layer and the heart shape layer, then choose "mask" from the toolbar at the top of the page.
Basically your heart SVG is a clipping mask, same as you used in your graphic software to crop the photo to a heart shape. But now you have a heart shaped photo which will be filled correctly by a customer but no heart frame. Here's what you do next:
- Go back to your images and select the heart shape svg. Put it directly under the photo. It will be invisible.
- Hit + a few times until it is large enough to act as a frame.

Hi all,
Just going to move this to create products as there is no technical issue here.

Great instructions -- exactly the help I need using a circle -- except "mask" on the toolbar at the top of the page is greyed out. Did I miss a click?
