I’ve noticed that when customers click a direct link to a Zazzle product (from Pinterest, a blog, or anywhere else), they now see a large block of “Other designs you might like” before even reaching the actual product details. From a customer experience standpoint, this is problematic: Baymard Institute research shows that distractions and unnecessary options can reduce conversion rates by up to 60%. Psychology studies on choice overload also confirm that too many competing options often lead to no purchase at all. Customers clicking from an external link are already warm leads — they came for that exact product. By distracting them with other options, Zazzle risks losing the sale completely. A cleaner product page (with the design featured first and “You may also like” shown lower on the page) would almost certainly improve conversion rates, build trust with customers, and reward designers who are actively bringing in traffic from outside sources. In the long run, this could mean more purchases for Zazzle overall — not fewer. Would Zazzle consider testing a version of the product page where the featured design is shown first, with recommendations placed further down? I think it could benefit both customers and designers. I’d really love to hear your comments on this — the more voices, the better chance Zazzle will take notice. Victoria | Do Tell A Belle

It seems many people have set their royalties at 10% or less, as I can tell by looking at the "other designs you may like." That's really sad! All the hard work put into creating and designing, now is worth pennies. I guess if people come to Zazzle for a bargain, lower priced items will sell first. Although I think bargain shoppers go to Walmart or the Dollar Store for bargains, as they are way cheaper than the products sold at Zazzle, even if the royalties is set lower than 10%. Therefore, I don't understand why creators would set their royalties so low, unless they think their product isn't worth that much. In that case, I think it would be best for them to find another (and easier) way to make money.

Yesterday I worked on a new birthday invitation for about 3 hours. I wasn't sure what font I wanted so I tried out several. I would select a font, work with it a bit then look for a new one. Every time I went to look at a new font it required clicking 5 times, just to get over to "All Fonts". In the 3 hours I was working on that card I must have clicked a hundred times, all trying to get back to "All Fonts". Zazzle, please go back to the previous font tool or at least move "All Fonts" to the front of the line. I appreciate trying something new, but this repetitive clicking is time consuming, aggravating and is not working.

A few years ago I designed some cocktail napkins on a black background. It's a relatively simple design with gold lettering. I have sold A LOT of them. The only problem is that most (not all) of them get returned. I know that nothing is misspelled, and the template works great. I've seen the actual printed product and the only problem I can see is that the printed black background doesn't look very good (nothing at all like the picture shows). I know there are many many gold designs on black napkins in the store. My question is do those of you who design napkins on black backgrounds have this same issue with returns? Just curious! I did make the same napkin using black and gold text on a white background (which looks much better when printed), but even though is is grouped with the black one it doesn't sell half as well. I'm trying to figure out if there is anything I can do to the black background to make it work?

When creating t-shirts for men, I can choose from about a dozen or more color options. But when designing women’s t-shirts, I only have about 5-6 color choices. Can Zazzle please offer the same variety of t-shirt color options that are available for men on women’s, children’s, and women’s plus-size t-shirts? Why the disparity here? Women comprise the largest percentage of Zazzle’s buyers. Let’s cater to women and better meet their needs. And this is my third request: can Zazzle offer Comfort Color shirts for women, children, and men? If Zazzle wants to expand their customer reach and thus their sales, one way to do that is to offer the same Comfort Color shirt color options as Etsy does. Comfort color shirts are by far their best sellers. Thanks!

There are little blue stamps appearing in the corner of items that I resized or something and it says 'enhanced by zazzle' what is that all about? Are we going to be charged for using these?

Plastic party tablecloth - Can you please add a product plastic party tablecloth. You have paper plates, cups, napkins, confetti but no plastic tablecloth. Thank you. I know you have cloth tablecloth but I'm not going to spend that cost for a kid's party or where I have lots of people just too expensive. I think for party's plastic tablecloth, paper plates, paper cup, paper napkins are what most people will use just make more sense and is what most people would do for convenience and cost. Thank you.

I guess I must have done something wrong. Went from a 7 zrank to 5 zrank. At times, I was an 8. They don't want you to unhide too many products, I guess. I haven't been a 5 in a few years. Took me by surprise.

How are the laptop sleeves measured? It says they are available in 10", 13", and 15" sizes. Are those sizes measured diagonally across the screen or horizontally on the computer? A potential customer has a computer that is ~13" across but ~15" diagonally. They want to know before committing to my time to create a custom case for them. thanks.

I think it must just be me but my work is down big time having to close this silly Preview an enhanced version of your image. It is the new way to tell you an image is too big. Instead of the yellow dot on the side of the image they have created a whole new way of stopping people from using small images. I don't know about you but it is annoying and takes a lot of lost time having to close it before adjusting image and them a second time when ready to list. I work alone and am seeing a drop in my sales since this is slowing me down. Now with the low commissions and needing to make twice as many sales it is nearing no sales as of today. Am I the only one experiencing this? I put a post on technical thread but heard nothing. I just want to be able to turn this off in settings. Sorry but I am really getting to the end of my rope. It is my fault for sticking here and letting other sites go under. I never thought they would throw the kitchen sink at us all at once. Again sorry for venting

This page What Royalty Rate Do You Recommend I Use? suggests a royalty of 5-10% which is pathetically low, but if you read the whole entry and between the lines, it's clear that 1) it's not mandatory, you can set your royalty to whatever you want 2) lower royalties = lower overall prices = Zazzle looks more affordable to shoppers 3) using that low 5-10% benefits the customer not you There's a common theory that higher royalties might keep one down in search results. So i just wanted to do a random search to see what royalty percents were in the top results. That by itself proved interesting and then it spiraled into a deeper dive looking at the other factors that most likely weigh in to where something "places" in results. I searched (on the US domain) for three keywords + product type. I.E. [keyword1 keyword2 keyword3 product_type] NO QUOTES, and then used the "Refine by Category" filter to narrow results down to just that actual product type. That gave me just over 200 results, a number easy to manage for comparison purposes. I then noted the details for the top 20 results. In the four days I've been compiling the stats on the results, the search results fortunately remained exactly the same. And then I was given the idea to do the same search on other domains. So I did UK and Canada and noted where items placed there compared to searching on the US domain. Of the top 20 results, I was only able to obtain all the stats for 7 of them. That's 35%. Not enough to draw any "scientific" conclusions, but still super interesting and able to provide some insight. The first thing to jump out is that in most cases there is an astounding difference in placement depending on domain! Designers of all Pro levels were included in the top 20. There were two with a generic Pro badge which means they could be anywhere from Basic to Diamond. None of the results were from Designers without at least the basic Pro badge. Does that mean anything? I honestly have no idea. Royalties ranged from 10 to 25%. Views ranged from 11 to 347. Creation dates ranged from 2014 to 2024. Looking at the meta data: * All of the results have all three of my search keywords somewhere in the meta data. * One of the top 20 (#16) has all three keywords in the title, in the same order I typed them in search * Five of the top 20 have two of the three keywords I searched for in their title, in the same order I typed them in * Ten of the top 20 have none of my keywords in their title, they only appeared in the tags This list is missing 65% of the data but is still interesting and my own personal conclusions, right or wrong, are, in no particular order:: * number of views alone doesn't seem to be a heavily weighted factor * even number sold won't by itself put you at top of results * likewise, Pro level or zRank alone won't put you at the top * having a personal cover image is still relevant/important * royalty % by itself is not keeping items down in search * last sold date might be an extra-weighted factor with more recently sold items placing better * where your strongest keywords appear and in what order compared to what a shopper types in is important So that's it. My conclusions here are just my own opinions based on the limited data of this search, you all may draw your own different conclusions.

Question for anyone who has received Zazzle’s approval to create embossers: How long did it take you to get approval to create embossers after you submitted your application? I applied about a week ago, and I haven’t received a response yet. Thanks for your feedback!

I think there needs to be a section somewhere on this forum that tells us, or at the very least updates us all on when something has been discontinued and not coming back. If there is can someone please point me in that direction with a link. So I am wondering about luggage, tarot, erasers, LED signs, socks, pencils, Samsung Galaxy S10 and ceiling lamps. Cause I do not want to delete them and a few weeks from now they get more in stock or something like that.
