Can't answer message from interested buyer

Can't answer message from interested buyer because Zazzle wants a cell /mobile phone number which I do not have! I am in Australia on a landline. Tried telling them but it bounced back.

Looks like now I will not be able to reply to these messages, any ideas please

Sorry this is happening, I have reported your issue to the Team, we do have a new verification process to help validate accounts to deter spammers, I will reply once I have further information on this for you.

I did get a query through to support who have asked me to  ...

  • Full name 
  • Billing address 
  • A form of ID 
  • Last digits of your payment method used.
  • As it is now 3 days since the customers message and she has had no reply I doubt she would be happy and would assume how rude of me not to answer!
  • In fact the bad customer service is Zazzle who sent the email to my email address in my store and assume maybe if overseas with this verification process it may not work or not everyone has a cell /mobile. Obviously Zazzle can see my store and I even included my Associate ID!
  • You even have here another posted thread on the same subject with input  and complaints from several store owners.
  • Someone needs to pull their socks up we are the ones earning you the money. I won't be sending my details as after all the person could be a scammer!

really? you have to send personal information and banking info because you didn't add a phone number?  This seems a bit much. i'm not prepared to give out my personal phone number (or anything else) in order to answer what are mostly customer service messages. Unfortunately those who have sent me messages will not receive a reply

No, zazzle does not ask for your banking info. It's the scammers who are pretending to be zazzle staff that are asking for banking info so they can steal your money

Canada is on the approved list. Are you using a Google Voice and other VoIP numbers? If not, please let us know and we can reach out to assist you more.

I don't understand why there isn't a simple option not to participate in chat.

We started chat a few years back as an easy way for Creators to interact directly with their customer in times of trouble or special request. We have data that shows this impacted sales positively. While some customer might contact for elements out of your control or Customer service, we have an auto reply for those events and always looking for more ways to improve the service.

Same issue here. I received a message from a customer but I cannot respond because I got an error when I try to add a phone number to my account.

Thank you everyone who has commented that they have an issue, here. I am going through your comment and working on a solution for those that are having issues with

  1. Country not being available on the list
  2. Don't see to be receiving the text. 

If you are experiencing one of the above and have not commented yet, than please do. 

In cases where you do have a valid cellphone/ mobile number, we urge you to initiate this one time sms verification. This has been introduced as another level of safety for our community and used for this purpose only.

I am From Egypt so my country is not on the list . I can't verify my phone number

Hi Monet, Certainly nothing I have seen I find it sad as an old member of the Zazzle community that the caring that was shown to the artists is sadly lacking now. Seems to be today's world xx
