Good to see you again, Jennifer. Do you have a photo editing program? I use Photoshop, but free versions are available on the internet. Your background is colorful and fun. However, it competes with the main focus of your artwork, which is the lady. One way to improve the focus and visibility of your main subject is to make the background much lighter than the main subject. So, if you have drawn the background separately, paste a copy of the background into your photo application, lower the transparency to about 50%, and export that file as a .png file. Now use the softer, faded pattern as your background.
Moving forward, be sure to create your backgrounds and the ladies as separate pieces of art, so you can manipulate each layer separately.
Also, since your ladies are vertical pieces of art, try to find vertically oriented products, and place your artwork on those products. That way, your ladies will be the main focus on the products, and you won’t need to add large areas of background patterns to fill up the space.
Hope this helps, and keep on creating. 🙂
