Hello)

The new blue "chat with us" pop up blocks the entire bottom of the preview in the Design Tool. I keep closing it, it keeps popping back out after some time. I don't know if someone else feels this way, but for me it definitely slows down the design process.

I'm just wondering if maybe there is a way for designer to get rid of it permanently?

Ask in the chat window how to get rid of the darn thing.

I also do Postcrossing!

Unfortunately, I don't believe there's any way for us to show this to only customers.

In my opinion, just removing the "pop-up" thing would be awesome, just let it be there; when it pops up it becomes a distraction.

I feel tempted to click on that and start talking to a Zazzle employee about my life, LOL.

Me too! Since it pops up so often, I feel the urge to click on the "Chat with us" and say hello, how are you doing, what's up?! Or even better, "Can you send me customers?"

I clicked on that today, as I was curious. I'm glad it is not an AI chat 😂. It's not a person that is already there either, but a form to request to chat with someone. I think it's good.

Edit: I think I'm gonna try it right now just to see whether it's a person there or whether it starts the chat with an AI. Let's see it!

Edit 2: just did it! And that's a human being! Thank you, Zaz! - I'd hate it if that was an AI...

Maybe relocate it to after the shopping cart icon and not be a pop-up or flashing button.  Just a normal button that says something about "Chat With Us".  That way it will always be in an easy to locate area for anyone who needs assistance.  As it is now, it was really pestering me as I was working in my collections adding some media images and it kept popping up when I was trying to click the close button at the bottom of the screen.  I think I accidently clicked it twice.

I'm wondering if this has something to do with how your screen is set up. For me it's in a pretty unobtrusive place.

Just noticed it today haven't seen it before in the designer tool, it's a bit in the way now blocking some functionality.

Maybe some rule can be added by the developers, if (member has Zazzle Store=true) don't show chat popup?

Somewhere in this thread Scott said they can't turn it off for Designers. Maybe y'all have better eyes than I do, but I can't tell anything meaningful from those tiny previews anyhow, so when I need to use them, I click on the magnifying glass to make them full screen.

I just click DONE and then I can see the product full screen. And then I go back in an edit more as needed. I don't know if that puts extra strain on the Zazzle servers or not, which it well might. NMP.

I don't know either, but it does take a millisecond longer, so I just expand the previews. BUT, I believe the preview images are slightly lower resolution than the ones on the product page, so your system might be the better choice!

Then maybe they should move the Preview slightly to the left. There's lots of empty space there.

If the preview thumbnail is going to be covered by the Chat with Us button, or if the preview thumbnail is too small to use, then why is it there in the first place? Move the preview thumbnail. Or just create an option in Settings where the user can turn the chat button off. Not obscuring elements of your UI with other elements of your UI is like the first chapter of web design 101. This shouldn't even be an issue.

I was able to hide it using a popup blocker. We'll see how well that works.

I suppose another option would be to either make the preview box moveable, or move it to the bottom left hand corner of the screen where there seems to be some empty real estate.

PLEASE move that blue  chat box from over the front of the preview image.  It's makin me Nuts!

You should try working on an iPad with that chat popup …it gets in the way of all sorts of buttons, previews, etc
