Does anyone review the user-provided mockups? I'm seeing ones that are clearly not accurate. Like this one that is set up as a repeating pattern but their mockup shows the wallpaper as one large image: https://www.zazzle.com/whimsical_forest_adventure_wallpaper-256162867443606162

That's the same Creator whose covers confused @klstock for being out of scale, but that designer is not alone, I've encountered numerous covers that are getting it wrong. For some reason, this wallpaper seems to be confusing even seasoned Designers.
As was stated here in the announcement, the design area represents 2 feet x 2 feet. This is repeated vertically in 2-foot increments as they choose longer roll lengths (4, 6, 8, 10 or 12). The width is not repeated, it's always a 2-foot wide roll. As it's not like say a fabric with different areas being sewn together, there aren't actually any "seams" in the design, it's a continuous repeating print for the length of the roll. The only "seams" would be where the user is buying multiple rolls (which you'd need to do a whole wall) and then it's on them to match up the design where one roll meets the next.
The 2nd preview image shows you the 2' x 2' design. The 5th one shows you multiple rolls applied next to each other which lets you see how it would "tile" horizontally when using more than one roll.
just an example - not a design I'm actually using
I think these two previews are the most trustworthy way to visualize the design as it shows how it will "tile" without giving any misleading impressions of scale.
Even the Zazzle-provided in situs seem to be really wrong on scale so I don't trust them.
Based on Zazzle saying the design area is a 2' x 2' square, in my checkerboard pattern each blue or white square here would be 1'. Which means in the nursery in situ, the crib would only be 3' long (36") but the standard crib length is, by law, 52" so something if off.
By counting squares, the bathroom ceiling height would be 9' at minimum as the view is cut off before we see the ceiling. 9' is reasonable, it's now the average residential ceiling height instead of 8'. But the tub is barely over 1' high, which even accounting for perspective distorting the perception, still seems wrong
The living room would have a 12' ceiling which might be reasonable as 10-12' ceilings are preferred in modern "high-end" homes/apartments. The bedroom though reflects a 13.5' ceiling minimum, dwarfing the bed which would be less than 3 feet high here to the top of the headboard. This is the in situ that looks the most bizarrely out-of-scale without even thinking about it.
It seems like I am over-analyzing the in situs, but I was trying to decide which would be the most accurate to use until I can figure out how best to make my own so couldn't help but notice these things as well as the ones in the MP that are off.
For a product like this that entails both "tiling" and expert-level difficulty in creating a scene to accurate scale, this is where Zazzle needs to provide accurate in situs to use without penalty and I'd go as far as saying implement a review process for homemade ones. And not just to baby Creators, but to ensure shoppers aren't being misled.

We are probably not going to use the bedroom in situ, unless we take it into a photo editing program and crop the height.

The height is pretty ridiculous. I'm not a huge fan of their mockups, but I'm afraid anything I make will be incorrect because of the variance I already see displayed.

So true. I can see a fabulous product getting lots of poor reviews just because the mock-ups imply murals, not wallpaper with seamless patterns, sigh.
The listing it self goes really super quick for me because I don't have to think about the template features etc. but than I'll spend for ever on a mock-up to get it right, lol. But fortunately I got a system figured out now. Still time consuming of course but more doable (for me).
Today's mock-up...

Wow, this is a great way to check their in situ accuracy! (which doesn't exist, LOL!) I knew something was off, but I didn't actually analyze it.

That's what prompted me to create this post: https://community.zazzle.com/t5/general-zazzle-discussion/searching-to-find-a-product-to-design/m-p/...
Wallpaper is simply the latest problem when trying find a specific blank.

Love this new product James! Unfortunately the only way to get to design this product is HERE in this thread 🙄 After posting about six wallpaper designs using this thread, it now resorts to make your own! with no post for sale😟

The design part worked fine. When posting though, if you use the word "wallpaper" in the title, it still appends the word wallpaper. It doesn't seem to be detecting that the word is already there.

I know, but I want to because it works better for me, and it's how it works with all other products. It's a bug that it doesn't work with this product.

I've tested the use of product name in a title to see what happens and have found that, if you use the product name as the very last word, then Zazzle doesn't append their own name. Otherwise, you end up with a duplication.

It doesn't work for me with this product. Noting that it's only this product with the issue. Other products are fine and you can override the auto name.

That's too bad. Periodically I need to add the product name when the one Zazzle adds isn't suitable.

Unfortunately, the mock ups have white horizontal lines running through some of them, which makes it look like a design error when it is not. It's not really noticeable on lighter colored designs but it's pretty obvious on dark ones like this: https://www.zazzle.com/textured_organic_stripes_tonal_brown_wallpaper-256977043612022978 The in situ bedroom is especially bad.

@James
I know the design area is 2'x2' as spelled out in the New Product Launch: Peel & Stick Wallpaper. - Zazzle product rollout page, but it would also help customers immensely to know this in the "About Wallpapers" section, too.
Thank You!

I downloaded the bedroom in situ view and cropped the height of the wall with Photo Editor. I also downloaded the hallway and bathroom in situ views in my design and views with just dark green and white background. Then, I cropped the the wall paper in my design and slid them in with PicsArt . I tried the front wall in the bathroom in the dark green and the white, but decided I liked it with my design on it. I'm doing this just to offer visual decorating suggestions to customers.

Morning James. Is it possible to color in the wallpaper with crayons, markers etc? And, paint on them? If yes, what would you recommend customers use to seal it with post having fun

Hi, can I make a suggestion please? I have had a lot of my artwork copied and put on other channels.
Here on these wallpaper mockups you dangerously show the whole pattern swatch right up to the edge. I can see it's now easy to copy my pattern designs on Zazzle and put elsewhere... Please can you crop that swatch to make life harder for the thieves, or place a watermark.
Thank you.

Zazzle's competition markets their 'peel and stick' wallpaper as safe to use as custom laptop skin. Is Zazzle's wallpaper safe to use the same way? If so, it would be good to market it that way so it shows up in a search as a 'DIY/trim the swatch yourself' to fit the dimensions of your laptop.

Any update on the white horizontal stripes going through mockups? They look really bad in some of the zazzle-generated mockups, and make it look like the design file is wrong, even when a design file is exactly correct.

Love that Zazzle now offers wallpaper. This is very exciting.
Feedback: the mockups are great, short of the scale of the wallpaper looks incorrect when you go from room to room. The baby's room is probably the best scale, whereas the other rooms, the scale is too small on the wall and does not show the correct size. I am designing with stripes and you can really notice the difference between the baby's room and the other mockup rooms. Can something be done about this so all the rooms have the same scale, like the baby's room?

It's been over a month since I made new wallpaper, but I thought I should make some more because I made a sale. However, it appears that the mockups have gotten worse since I last made wallpaper. I know it's not my pattern. I've tested it outside Zazzle. In the Zazzle editor, I add my square pattern file, select Basic under Tile, and set the size. It looks great. But then the generator does not tile the canvas so it looks like a bunch of squares in the mockup. This should really be a high-priority fix. It's been months since wallpaper was released and the mockups are still not working right.

@LarkspurandTeathere is a thread on seamless tiling of wrapping paper - that may solve your problem. On the paper tiles size should be "a number that divides evenly into 36" (the size of the paper). Check the size of the tiles on designs that seem to be tiled correctly and see if the trees need to be adjusted. ???

Would it be possible to add a half drop tiling option for the mockups? Many of my wallpaper designs don't get listed in Zazzle because half drop tiling looks terrible on mockups.
