I've started to take a good look at what zazzle is taking in fees from sellers. I have questions about this at the bottom of the royalty history page: (t)Design was transferred to another product using the "Design Transfer" feature. Your royalty percent will be based on your member default royalty rate. Note: Some products have a fixed royalty percentage.
I did not know there was a Default Royalty Percentage for Printed Products. I sell mostly printed products and my royalty percentages range from 10% up to 45%. If I change my Default royalty percentage, will that automatically change the percentage on all of my printed products?

Note that the "Default Royalty Rate" is account-wide, not store specific. So to find the setting for it you need to go to your member profile --> My Account - then over on the right --> "Default Royalty".
When you go to post a new product from scratch, the default % on the post-for-sale page is whatever your default is here, but you of course can change it to whatever you want before publishing. (If you use "transfer this design" to create a new product, whatever your royalty was on that existing product also transfers over unless you change it.)
But as @Sara_H said, if a customer transfers your design, your default royalty % is applied to that sale. I set my royalty %'s on a case-by-case basis when I post for sale but I purposefully set my default high at 25% just for the event of a design transfer and it has panned out several times. 😁

@john No - it won't change any royalties already set on your products. it only affects design transfers and any future products will automatically be set at that rate unless you change the rate when you post for sale

@ColsCreations You explain it so much better! And a great reminder to set my default royalty a little bit higher. Thank you!

Thank you. The "learn more" link did not explain anything about this.
