Duplicate product or make it a template?

Hi, is it possible to duplicate a product so all that's needed is to change the design in the design tool? I am creating gift tags and the text will be the same, but the image will change. How can I do this so I don't have to recreate the text every time?

Or how can I allow someone to select a different design on the same product? For instance, if I want them to choose between red, blue and yellow for the same product.

I've researched this, but I haven't found my answer. Thank you!

So, you have a product with a picture of a dog on a blue background with a text field.

First possibility:
Go to that product.
Change the picture and/or background (do not touch the text, although you might want to change the position)
Save and post as a new product.

Second possibility
Open existing product in one tab
Open second tab with product to be created
Copy text field/s from original
Paste into new product
Save as new product.

Once the product is published...

Go back into the design tool.  Click the image you wish to replace.  Look to the right for "Change Image"  Click that and it should open your image library.  Choose the new image and click "OK" (or something similar" and the new image will appear.  Click done, click sell....

As long as the image your replace is the exact same size and the only thing that changes is the color, then auto grouping should occur after a few days.  But auto grouping is always hit or miss...fyi.

1) Can you do this before the product has been published?

2) What is "auto grouping"?
