Hi Creators,

If you have experienced our new Home Feed, please feel free to share your thoughts here. We'd really appreciate it.😁

You can tell if you're viewing the new Home Feed because there will be a feed of posts rather than a series of personalized product grids. See screenshot below!

Thanks,

I don't mind the added feed for shoppers/sellers who love social media, but I agree as previously mentioned above that I would prefer to have the "Shop" tab as the default tab instead when you enter the Zazzle site.  Thanks for trying different things and more importantly, asking for feedback from your creators.  Have a great day!

I'd read the post about this but was still surprised when it popped up. First of all, I just want to say that the photos I saw were gorgeous, whoever selected them did an amazing job. The thing is, I felt like I'd been transported to Instagram. Some of the text with the photos was totally geared to social media and some text didn't even make sense since the intent in coming to Zazzle is to shop. I loved looking at the photos, but it wasn't obvious on some photos what the Zazzle product was. For example, there was an open carton of eggs and on the inside cover was a stamp of the company logo. I don't think a customer would know that was stamped on the carton with a Zazzle ink stamper. Also, maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything indicating I could shop, buy a product or even get more information on the product. When I clicked the photo I got an enlarged version of the photo and, if I remember correctly, the text that had been posted with the photo. There was also a tab that said something like "Create Your Own". When I clicked the tab it finally took me to the product page, but had I not clicked it, I wouldn't have known I could buy the product. So in my opinion, it just didn't look like an e-commerce site. I agree with the others, the homepage is great the way it is, please don't change it. As others have said, the inspiration feed should be an accessory, not the whole home page. A vertical scroll along the side, or even a horizontal scroll below the top banner would be nice.

I think the #ZazzleMade Inspiration Gallery is a great idea and, as I mentioned in a different post, I would love to see each store have their own #ZazzleMade Inspiration Gallery (along the side, not the whole store home page) instead of the media section. It would be great if we could post an unlimited number of our own #ZazzleMade photos along with text about the product and have it link to the product page. Just my thoughts. Thanks for asking for feedback and thanks for hearing me out.

Based on the way a response to another post was worded, it seems that despite asking for feedback, the decision to go ahead with turning the homepage into a social media feed has already been determined

Since this seems here to stay, the only thing I want to know is, how do I become one of the handful of people who are featured on the homepage? Post daily on Instagram? Hashtag something? What's the trick to getting a post on the front page?

Yes, it seems that if you are not into Instagram or facebook using that hashtag you will be excluded.

This is mentioned in the article: https://community.zazzle.com/t5/creator-news/introducing-home-feed-beta-on-zazzle-com/ba-p/20547

The feature is still in an AB test, but if it continues to perform well then there are plans to roll out additional features. If we get to that point we will certainly keep Creators here updated.

I found it very engaging and enjoyed the posts a lot. It will help distinguish Zazzle from all of the other PODs out there in the minds of the customer. As a result, there is a better chance people will think of Zazzle when they are looking for something unique and of high value. This could come in handy if the doom and gloom experts are right about the economic outlook.

Zazzle, please reconsider this move! Whether the intent is to become a social media platform or not,  the appearance is very confusing.  Please heed the requests of the creators who also do not think it is a good idea. Zazzle is a great online store as it is. Just my opinion.

I haven't been able to see the new homepage in all this time. I've tried incognito windows and clearing my cache and using all the different devices in the house and still haven't managed to get it to come up.  Will the a/b test be shifting around? Or is it over?  Just curious at this point.  lol

The AB test has ended for now. We'll be making some changes and starting a new test in the near future.

Whoever is in charge of this fiasco should be fired IMMEDIATELY. Why do people think it is wise to mess with something that works? We do not use Zazzle for Social Media, we use it for shopping. As soon as I saw the new design my first reaction was to leave the page. It is a huge turn-off.

Not everyone likes social media or wants to see it, when they are shopping. The "Explore" page looks like a first time try, at designing a web page, it looks unfinished, boring and doesn't even match Zazzle's site. Example: The 2 scrolling sidebars should contain way more content and they should scroll with the page. The content contains the same creators, over and over, showing nothing but floral wedding invites and party invites. I see nothing about other products Zazzle offers.

There's an  "Explore" page and then there is another "Explore" on the pop out sidebar. There's a "Trending Topics" and then there is another "Trending" on the pop out sidebar, too repetitive and confusing.

After a few seconds of scrolling on the "Explore" page, I gave up and clicked on the "Shop" page and then I found the products. As a customer, I would much rather go right to the products page, find what I'm looking for and if I choose, I would click on the pop out sidebar and take a look there, to see the trending, explore etc.

Why are we back to the home page being a social media site?  It's ugly, bland and uninspiring.  The way it was before was vibrant, colorful, dynamic and inspired shopping.

Please stop trying to change what works.

This feedback thread is a year old. The feature has likely undergone a bit of change since this discussion started. Please keep that in mind.

Showing the Home Feed is not the default experience. Users entering zazzle.com will see our usual home page. If a user would like to see the Home Feed they'll need to click on the Explore link at the top of the page.

Customers that come to Zazzle in search of a thing will use the marketplace search bar at the top of the page to find that particular thing. As some of you may be aware, we frequently run AB tests to learn about how users navigate through our website and how they use our tools. Learnings are applied throughout the website so that we can continue to deliver the best experience for everyone.

Just noticed this new homepage trial, I think last week. Wondered if I was accidently on instagram 🙂

I think it could also be a good idea to, not have this new experience on the main zazzle.com site, but on it's own social website. Something like zazzlefans.com or like here on social.zazzle.com, a place where customers and creators meet, share their ideas, have contests, share real "in situ" photo's. It would be cool to have a growing following of zazzle member as a creator. To see people using the products you created and they personalized! One of my main reasons to try this full time, it's very rewarding to think about that.

And in this case, the accounts are already there and it's a very targeted audience unlike insta, twitter, etc.

Will Zazzle start it's own social media like platform?
