Have you had a referral via the ASCEND/Pepperjam Program?

Hello all

I was just wondering if affiliates who use the Ascend/Pepperjam site for their referral link generation have had any success and seen referrals with it?

I've had over 800 clicks through to Zazzle using the Pepperjam links since Jan, but so far not a single bite.

The links I use with this program are a mix of other designers products and my own .. shared via my websites.

@admin: Is it possible for someone on the affiliate side to look at this and just check it's all working as it should?

Thanks

When I was a full-time affiliate, I used to make regular sales using Pepperjam. Used them for quite a few merchants and never had a problem. That can change in a heartbeat though. Networks change managers so often these days.

Thanks, did you get any referrals from Zazzle?

Yes. But I have always found Zazzle to have a lot of leaks and a very low conversion rate. As a professional affiliate, I would never spend time creating a website for a merchant that had google ads on their page or was their own affiliate. Too much competition.

All major brands have Google ads and are their own affiliate. They also affiliate for their competition. It's the norm and has been for many years. So this has never been a factor for me. I've been a pro affiliate for years, hence these figures from the Pepperjam site are of concern as they don't reflect what I see on other sites.

Do you also use skimlinks and viglinks? They may not even be called that anymore. That's how I found Zazzle actually. I admit that I haven't done affiliate marketing in several years and don't miss it.

No, I haven't heard of the above two. Zazzle though used to be on Shareasale before Pepperjam. I prefer that site personally. Many more features.  I will look into those other two, thanks for names. x

Can someone point to me a very simple explanation of how to become an affiliate?  My 18-year-old wants to do this, but I know nothing about it.  Referral link generation / these companies / banners, etc are very confusing to me.  If someone can please link me to an explanation that a 5-year-old could understand, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you!

Affiliate marketing is when you help sell someone else's product and you get a commission (a percentage of the sale) for each item that is sold through your unique link.

Here's how it works:

Find a product you like: First, you need to find a product or service that you think people will like. It could be something you use yourself, or something that you think your friends would be interested in.

Sign up for an affiliate program: Once you find a product, you need to sign up for their affiliate program. This is where they will give you a unique link that you can use to promote their product.

Share your link: Once you have your unique link, you can start sharing it with others. You can post it on social media, put it in a blog post, or send it to your friends and family.

Earn commissions: When someone clicks on your link and buys the product, you will earn a commission on the sale. The amount you earn will depend on the commission rate that the product owner has set.

Keep promoting: To make more money, you need to keep promoting the product. The more people that buy through your link, the more money you will make.

Remember, it's important to only promote products that you believe in and that you think will be helpful to others.

Be honest in your promotion and don't be pushy or spammy.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn some extra money, but it should never be your only source of income.

I hope this guide helps you understand affiliate marketing better!

IMPORTANT

Most affiliate programs require you to have your own successful blog or website or social media channels because these platforms are where you will be promoting the products or services you are affiliated with. Having your own blog or website means that you have a platform to share your content and promote products.

You can create content around the products you are affiliated with and include your unique affiliate link in your posts. When your readers click on your link and make a purchase, you earn a commission. Social media channels, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, are also popular platforms for affiliate marketing. With a large following, you can promote products to your audience and earn a commission on the sales. You can post about the products and include your unique affiliate link in your posts.

Having your own successful blog or website or social media channels is important for affiliate marketing because it shows the product owners that you have an audience that is interested in what you have to say. It also makes it easier for you to promote the products and track your commissions. However, it is possible to start affiliate marketing without your own blog or website or social media channels.

Some affiliate programs allow you to promote their products through paid advertising or other methods. But having your own platform can make it easier to get started and be successful in affiliate marketing.
