How Putting My Designs On Zazzle Products Is Helping Me Get Through My Grieving

Hello, Zazzle Family! How are you? I hope that your year has started out great. My year has started out kind of rough. I loss my sister last month. She became seriously ill on Christmas Eve and had to stay in ICU at the hospital. In January she passed away. She was my only sister and we were very close. She was a great sister and my best friend. I am grateful that I have a loving supporting husband, family and friends. My family have been wonderful and understanding. She was a loving wife and mother. She was very creative and made beautiful gift baskets for all occasions. She is the one that got me interested making designs for teapots, teacups and coasters. She would share with me her baskets and I would show her what I designed on Zazzle.

I know only faith and time can only heal grieving. But staying active and creating designs on Zazzle products is helping me get though my grieving. I know my sister and my family would not want me to stop. Being creative helps keep your mind busy plus it is fun to see your designs on so many products. It is giving me a sense of comfort.

I just wanted to share and I hope you guys have a blessed day! I hope you have a successful year with your designs!

I am so very sorry for the loss of your sister. I hope the  memories you two have made will carry you through. I have recently lost family members too and I know the grief can be brutal. I am glad you have Zazzle to keep your mind busy and keep you being creative. It's so hard to move forward with anything after a loss, and being creative can be a helpful outlet. And like your product above, some of the designs will show those emotions you are feeling. ❤️

I have used Zazzle as a hobby since getting a chronic illness myself. It just keeps my mind busy doing something while I have to be in bed most of my life. I don't know what I would do with out it. When I saw your post, I just had to comment as I understand using Zazzle as a comfort in hard times.

Again, I am so very sorry about your sister. ❤️ Gentle hugs.

Just wanted to offer my sincere condolences. I lost a number of close family members last year, so I know how tough it can be. But creative work definitely helps. Sending you prayers and virtual hugs... 💔💞

My sympathy for you and your.  I struggled, and still do, with the loss of my Mother after caring for her full time during her struggle with Alzheimers. At first, I found it hard to work on my Zazzle designs, but eventually found that it helped, as my photography was a way of communicating with my Mother in the later stages. I am so happy that you have found solace and healing in your creative endeavors. I wish you peace, comfort, personal & financial success. Your designs and story are inspiring.

Hi, JlynnW...it is nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing. Sorry for the loss of your Mother. My Mom had Dementia and she passed away in 2017. I miss her dearly too. My sister and I took care of Mom during her illness. My Mom diagnosed with Dementia in 2008. I started with Zazzle in 2012. It was kind of hard to design when she had a rough day, but when I showed her some of my products, she seem to enjoy it. I wish you peace and comfort as well. I hope we all have a successful year. God bless.

I'm so sorry, Margo. I once lost a son in a car accident, and it does take so much time to return to any degree of "normal". You are doing the right thing by keeping busy with something you love doing, but do take time to take care of yourself, also. Phillipians 4:6 has helped me through many tough times in life; I pray that it would also give you comfort.

God bless you and your family.

I am going to print Phillipians 4:6 and put it over my desk. I need that also. Many of us do. Thank you.

Oh Margo, my heart is with you more than I can express. As many know, I lost both my adored parents within a year of each other, and I miss them every minute of every day. I can't help my attitude in that Daddy shook my world upside down when he unexpectedly passed on ... and I left work caring for my precious sweet best friend Mother. On her way out, she must have hit the light switch, because she did turn off the lights in my world, and I am stumbling through the darkness never having dealt with things alone; HOWEVER, even in our grief, I agree with you about Zazzle being a positive in our lives. I spend more time and money on art than I make, but it is a nice escape, a positive, an ability to create things to bring joy to others, and bringing joy to others makes us happy, yes? I agree with you definitely about FAITH. I live on hope and faith, and they can't take that from us. I can't go to church now, because all that Catholic kneeling and standing had me in too much pain after a spine injury (and OUCH OUCH OUCH is frowned on by the Priest ... 🙄), but my FAITH IS STRONG! I am so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you had a loving relationship with your sister. I wish I did. Those memories we do have of our loved ones are so precious. I always say to hug them so often that the imprint stays on your heart forever, and she is in yours obviously. Obviously, you are proud of her, and I imagine she was very proud of you. HOLD ON to the warm feelings Margo until we all meet again.

I'm sorry for your loss of your sister. Losing a sibling is wrenching. If you can do something creative, it does seem to help. I lost my disabled brother late last year. We were always supposed to take care of him, so I really feel the loss. I've been doing a lot of Zazzle lately, too, because I can't seem to do much else.
