Hi, am very curious about this thing... as for me, I have hardly sold any matching party decor ...
At times I really feel hope less to put in all the efforts in creating so many matching items for every cross-sell collection.
Buyers would mainly purchase an invitation or sometimes enclosure cards and envelope ... but haven't sold any party decor item yet!
And this year sales are so slow ... I really need some motivation to work harder
Do you sell them often ? Please share in your experiences 🙂

I have had some sales in the last couple of months that I'd consider 'matching'. Wrapping paper, greeting card and badges.
I've also had sales of gift boxes where they were for the same event but VERY different graphic styles. You never know!
I think the general good advice is to only make some matching decor items IF the invitation is selling. Then you aren't getting too burned out with extra effort.
Hope this helps!

Greetings! I'm not an expert but In my opinion, it would be wise to opt for the basic items, especially if the collection has not yet proven to be successful in terms of sales. If I were in your position, focusing on birthday collections, I would consider creating invitation cards, enclosure cards, envelopes, stickers, plates, paper cups, napkins, banners, favors stuff, and wrapping paper. However, it is crucial to assess the sales and popularity of these items before deciding to expand the collection further. If any of these products sell well or if the collection receives positive feedback, then it might be worth considering adding more items. Otherwise, it would be advisable to continue exploring other themes IMHO. Hope this helps you!

I focus on wedding stuff, and in my experience (mind you I'm not one of the big wedding sellers - the story may be diferent for them) even though I'm creating entire collections full of all kinds of recommended products to fill the slots, I rarely sell everything together. The most I've done is sell invitations and matching RSVP's. The other products such as unity candles, guestbooks and thank you cards etc. tend to sell on their own.

I'm new seller, only 1 year in the market 🙂 I mainly sell for baby shower in one shop, and wedding in other. I view extras as promotion for the main selling stuff and do them anyway, no matter if they sell or not. They bring customers 🙂 Baby shower customers buy: enclosure cards, stickers, napkins, favor boxes, welcome signs, guest books, thank you cards, tags. Weddings: guest books, menu cards, table numbers, save the date cards. Almost all bulk purchases were from the customers that contacted me and asked to make extra stuff in the theme they chose. But I believe they wouldn't have contacted me if I would only make invitations. They saw that I can make anything, so it was win win for both of us 🙂 I've checked your shops and they look nice. Please don't be afraid to make more extras 🙂 The best sellers I found on zazzle have over 100 same design options to choose from. Their collections are huge.

Hi Ramune, am so glad you checked my shops and liked my work, much appreciated 🙂
You have such a huge collection of inspiring work ... i really feel ashamed at times for being creatively lazy (it happens to me sometimes, its like creative blockage) ... in such phases I really have to push myself hard to work more!
Thanks to this community forum, where I often come to read posts and topics and feel inspired

My sales have been the worse in years 😪 particularly since collections arrived. I tend to sell individual items the most and it is rare for me now and in the past to sell more than two items in a collection. Interestingly too I find a lot of customers still seem to not be finding my matching items and just go ahead and transfer my artwork onto another item I have already created instead? Go figure? I think the best advice I can give is create a core of items and if you find that design sells well then move on to do move in the collection. It can be so hit and miss getting sales, I am close to throwing in the towel in this days but hey I am still creating them and occasionally get that sale! Unfortunately there is a downturn generally. Hopefully though things will pick up again soon. Wishing you all the best. I hope this old timer of 12 years now on Zazzle can help!

Thanks a lot for sharing MLE .... I too feel the same and these days the low sales are the major reason that I lose motivation soon when am making a collection and give up in the the mid way ! This is not good I know, just trying hard to overcome this creative lazyness
