There is a YouTube Guru who seems to think getting likes is the best way to get ahead on POD sites. So he recommends using automated programs that like other people's products in the hope of being liked back. I think that is nonsense, but that may be happening here. (Of course the Guru gets an affiliate commission every time someone buys the automated liking program.)

It might be a red flag… a few days ago someone posted a store that was pirating with the MO of using his list of likes as his list of products to copy… that store was taken down, but the chances of them popping back up or another person using the same technique aren’t zero.

Sounds creepy to me.

Ty guys. I'm keeping my eye out, well, for anything else odd. I've done searches for my products to see if they've been stolen, looked into their other stores etc. Not finding anything as of now.

Yes in the past few days I have had a member liking and putting my designs in a private collection.  I know it could possibly be someone saving stuff for promotions but it's also making me nervous it's a thief deciding on designs to steal. I have had likes here and there in the past but nothing like what's been going on the past few days.

I like the products of my followers,  The likes are added to my private likes.

What do I do with the other designers' likes?

 1. I may go back and buy the product that I liked

2.  I may create a blog post about the product I like and the creator with a backlink.

3. I may share the liked product on my pinboard.

In my opinion, when another designer likes my product, I am complimented and I think a like is good and positive.

I AGREE WITH YOU.  Liking others products is showing...  well that i like their product!  why must everyone think it's nefarious.  and this is why I don't like people.  I'll go sit in my corner - maybe I'll stop promoting other people products also.. Except yours.

Thanks and I understand.  It's just something really weird compared to what I normally see because someone had liked so many of my products at once where normally I will see someone like one or two at at time.  And also the products they have liked have been stuff so old and unsold I don't know it just seemed strange to me.

It probably was me liking your animal designs.  I came across your page and like horses and that Easter goat card is adorable.  I had no idea that my like would upset so many creators and will remove it.

Now, do you want me to also remove the products that I shared on Pinterest and Facebook?

My post on Facebook, probably got views and people going to your page and liking your products...sorry Zazzle like.png

No.  You are totally fine and thanks for the promoting.  I saw yours and your name.  It was the ones that just said member without a name  given and being put in private collections that was worrying to me.  I have pinned and tweeted some of your stuff as I appreciate it.

Oh yikes. What can one do about it?? I have to admit it's made me nervous.

I guess if you don't want people liking your artwork, sharing your artwork on social media, or saving your product that they like into a private collection (which I use as a wish list) then make your store private or contact @Scott or @Mark and ask them to remove the heart on your products.

@Susang6for you future reference, both Scott and Mark don't want you tagging them in posts unless it's an emergency. They've mentioned this in another forum a few weeks ago. Just thought you should know.

Thanks for letting me know ...I won't do that again.

Hope the Zazzlers in this discussion get some "expert" advice on what to do with stopping the likes on their products...maybe they should start a discussion to have an option for the heart to be turned off or removed from their page.

I read how upset they are about people liking their products and found that I had liked a few of the Zazzlers in this discussion and even sold one of their products when I shared it on Pinterest.  I probably will remove the like and remove the pin as I read how upset they are and that they prefer that likes are not given.

There should be a way to let people who "like products" to know that the creator does not want the like.  Maybe a flag instead of a heart on their product page...what do you think?

anyway thanks again.

Can you block him/her from your Zazzle account?

I don't know if Zazzle gives that option.  It just says a member has liked or a member has put it in a private collection without giving any actual name.

I don't believe so. I've never sent that option. You can report images.

Liking other people's products is both fine and nice, but what's being talked about here by Wolfegrl1 is that someone is liking pretty much everything--rather an overabundance, which has concerned her. It's understandable.

Yes. I Iove to see people like my products normally but this kind of liking is strange behavior.  Also normally it gives me a person's name and tells me that they put it in a collection.  This just says member and they are putting so many of mt store designs into private collections.  It seems off to me.

If it just says member then I do believe that is a customer and it wouldn't give the name.  Customers have wish lists, they put what they like into a collection.  I have "members" liking my stuff and adding to a collection very often and I think "maybe a future sale" I receive a whole lot of likes on my products and the like makes "my heart sing" it feels wonderful that people like what I do.

I do appreciate save, likes, retweets and pins. This is not a customer but a designer. Now liking 10 products a day or more.

OP has many thousands of products in their store(s), and the user in question has less than 200 liked products.

I would agree that seeing the same person like a lot of products in a short period of time may seem strange, but we don't know the whole story here so probably unwise to jump to any conclusions. I've taken a look at the other user's account and I don't see any nefarious behavior.

Thank you everybody. I really appreciate your consideration about my worry. I try not to be overly spooky but we do need to be careful and aware.

Hi,

I couldn't find the person, nor their store on Zazzle who liked my product. Only name shows in notification. Is there a way to find the designer through name? I certainly would like to know who liked my product.

Hello,

Is it possible to know who has liked my product on Zazzle. I came to know the NAME through notification. I couldn't find the designer nor their store on Zazzle.

That user is a customer, not a Creator.

Wolfegrl1

Yes, I believe this would be a customer.

That's a good thing. 🙌 😃
