With frustration, I started a new thread about the issue of watches still not being found in searches.
I made a point at the end about the reason why I'd created a new thread - it being that adding a post to an old discussion didn't bring it to the top - in other words, it wouldn't be seen.
I checked to see responses just now, only to find my thread has disappeared. However, I then found it had been attached to an older thread - which defeated the object of my creating a new thread in the first place.
If we're being watched and censored, then it would be a good idea to have threads bounce to the top when most recently commented!

Take heart, at least you know for sure that one of the mods read your post!

That was me. There was a few reasons for this:
- I moved it into the existing discussion thread to keep all comments in one place. In situations like this one, when I report a bug I like to add a link to the discussion thread so that stakeholders can see the impact of the issue. In order to do this I definitely need all feedback/reports/observations contained in one discussion.
- Creating a new thread effectively pushes out other reports. Consider what the Technical forum would look like if a new post was created every day that a bug wasn't resolved. It would be impossible to find anything, both for you guys and for us.
- By default, posting in a thread should bump that conversation up to the top of the board. This is how it works for me, and this is how it works when I'm logged in as you, Nigel. As of now, the discussion is at the top of the page in the Technical forum.
We've already made the team aware of this issue, and hopefully we'll have an update to share soon.

Thank you, Scott. I now realise my error... I always go to "Latest Conversations", and of course, now I think about it, such a filter isn't going to have posts bumped to the top! D'oh!
I do appreciate you having taken the time to explain. 👍

Thank you for your kind explanation, @Scott
I totally agree.
However, I am experiencing 3 issues which challenge how it would ideally work.
1. I don't see the post move to the top when a new comment is added
2. I always do a search to see if someone else posted about the same issue. This does not always function as intended, maybe through different wording. Hence multiple posts on the same issue. Which leads to
3. I cannot delete a post once it is posted.
@NigelSutherland I also use "latest conversations" to see what is going on. Why are posts not moving to the top in that section when new comments are added? Should I browse by board? That seems a bit tedious?
Thanks.

I totally agree about it being hard to find posts on related topics. I always use "latest conversations" as well because it's the only way I can see what's new without having to go through each board individually. I wish there was some way that you could get a compilation of all the boards but still get the functionality you get by browsing individual boards (ie threads with new comments go to the top and you can see what you have & haven't read)

Because Latest Conversations is a board showing conversations in the order in which they've been created. You can't change that order otherwise it wouldn't be accurate. I hadn't thought of that before!
Maybe we need a "Latest Commented" option too, although I'd rather see the watches reappear in search results first!

I look at the threads by MOST RECENT, then I sort each thread by NEWEST TO OLDEST.
This works fairly well, although it does NOT work for the IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS. This thread should definitely be sorted by "LAST RESPONSE"
All threads should be able to be sorted by last response.

But you have to look at each board individually in order to do that, right? What I'm looking for is a way to sort this page by "last repsonse" https://community.zazzle.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/Explore.

You want all of the NEWEST responses to be available on one list, regardless of thread?
Seems confusing to me.
