My Own Off-Site Referral or Someone Else's?

Is there a way to know if a sold item was sold through my own Pinterest pin (for example) as opposed to someone else referring the customer to my item?

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this question. I hope it will also help other designers, as well.

Any referral that came in on a link you put out onto the internet should come through as "self" in the referred column.  You may also see 3rd or none.  3rd is someone else and none occurs when a shopper did not have a cookie set and found your product through a marketplace search... usually.

Using tracking codes is a great way to know which links/pins are generating traffic.  &tc=whateveryouwant at the end of the url you used to link back will do it.  Unless you are in the promoter program, then you don't want to use that.  FYI.
