Suddenly we have to find new way to post to FB and to Pinterest but I do not see a way to post items in the show me area. Used to use BBC code then HTML code now do we use mind control code?  Just trying to figure it out.

Thanks to DancingPelican who provided this info in another thread:

On the 'products' page in your store, you can select the "share" option on the lower right of any product and all the social media options are there (including all the regular HTML and BBCodes, etc.)

should still be the HTML code ... I did some posts to the Show Me forum this morning, and the HTML code still works.

W.H.

Where can we find the HTML code??

The Share links are now hiding beneath a curved arrow at top left of the product. However, I see no HTML choice.

I was thinking the same 😦 where is the HTML code!? Only the link is showing I am no coding expert so that is me buggered 😜

@PattiJ

On the administration side, underneath the product you wan to show. Click on Share (opposite the Actions button).

Click on the Link icon.

Copy the HTML info.

Come here and click on the HTML icon - up by the triangle with an exclamation mark.

Paste what you copied from the product admin html.

Click on the Save button.

If there is info already in the HTML box here when you open it,  just leave it and paste from the admin page and click save. Otherwise you'll lose whatever you've already typed here and just have the product preview.

Thank you. I’ll try it 😊

I tried this morning and only a link shows up, not codes.  Here is what comes up when I copied the link provided

using html button above https://www.zazzle.com/z/a02113md?rf=238207742997519561

I know how to do some coding but there is a lot of work to just adding one image and all the info,  First you have to copy the title from your item. You have to do this from the top of the page because you can not copy the one provided after pressing on the arrow.

Ballerina Dancing with Music Silver Year Graduation Cap Topper

Go back to you item. Now you have to click on the arrow and then right click on image to copy the image address. Then you have to go to the html link provided above and add the following code <img src=""> Then you paste the copied image address between the quotes so it looks like the following <img src="https://rlv.zcache.com/ballerina_dancing_with_music_silver_year_graduation_cap_topper-r95154369dec14...

You are putting this link into the html button and your image will show up like the following image.  FYI- at the end of the link the number after dim=  will determine the size of the image you will see. In the old code it was set at 325 while when using this method the image is at 500.  It supposedly is a dimming code to dim an object but it seems to resize images. You can only resize images to the size they were put onto the internet in. If  an image was loaded at 200px it starts to get blurry when you go higher than 200, That is just information from what I have experienced over the years. I do not really know code.

There is no link to the item so there is an extra step to add. Since you can not copy the link they provide you will have to add your referral code by remembering it to add at the end of your link code. There used to be this neat icon for the browser that would automatically add you referral code to the page but that was discontinued. I do not have the patients to get my code so I just right click on the image (the image after clicking on the arrow only works to do this)  Then copy 'link address' You can then highlight your text in this section and add the link you copied with the above link adder. I also highlight the picture and add the link to that.  I don't think I will be adding much here anymore. It is a bit of a process.

Also you might want to resize your text I used Heading 3 - when you copy it from the item page it gives you Heading 1 which is quite large.

Your store name is also not added. Maybe you can put it in your macro. I just have the link to my website in my macro    -  hopefully they will fix all this to make it so one does not have to be a tech to add a simple item for sale.

Hope this helps

WHS_Design  I do not see the code on any of my items yet. I listed a 'how to' add your stuff with code here. Perhaps I am not seeing it or it is not yet showing up for all sellers. ?   Hope that's the case. 🙂

@kashmier  The codes don't, as you've found, show up on a product's display page. The only way to get the codes is on the back end where you can use "share" in the dropdown. It's a solution without being a good one.

You can share to Pinterest and Facebook but not on your own website or post here,

Thanks for the info. Took me quite a while to find that. I wish it was easier, but we'll have to live with it. At least it's still there for us.

@kashmier @mylittleeden @NPL

hello everyone,

as @Baylee and @DancingPelican have already noted, the chainlink icon has been removed from the individual product page, but in the backend, it is still present if you click on share (underneath and to the right of each product thumbnail) and then select the chainlink icon to pull up the HTML coding.

an additional note to using the HTML coding in the backend: the product type is missing from the description (I've already noted that in this post here), but you can always add it in manually.

W.H.

OHhhh.  Thank you so much, the word "backend" is what I was missing. I forgot all about the ability to share from there. Also a good note to the missing product link.  This made my day.

@WHS_Designs

Wow! I've been a designer here since 2008 and I've never noticed that Share button.

Thank you for the details on how to use it. 🤣😊🤣

No problem. 🙂

Now if you are also an affiliate and want to share someone else's product, check out Mark's post here:

Cheers,

Yes, I've seen his tool. At this moment I'm just trying to get my designs fixed and some of the new tool isn't working for me, so am working at figuring out how to get things done.

Ooooh THANKS SO MUCH! 😍 Life saver ❤️
