Product Images

Just noticed you put images under the product image. Maybe it'll take some getting use to, but I liked it better on the side.

I hope it's just an A/B test. I went to look at a product I sold and no longer saw the insitu's, but zooming out I saw them below the fold and felt a little disappointed. Maybe it's just my screen size but I also liked them better on the side. Wonder if they did this for mobile users.

I like them better on the side as well. The product images are not way too big and one has to scroll more to see other images and info.

It seems to me that this comes along with an entirely new functionality on Pinterest viewing, which is super cool. Whether related to this change or not, some of my Zazzle products are now showing on Pinterest not as single pics, but as the entire series of views, easily scrolled through.  I like it!

I also do Postcrossing!

Am I remembering incorrectly or has something else changed? I could swear our design description was way below Zazzle's product description, far enough below that customers were unlikely to read our description. Now it's to the right of Zazzle's description where it was a long time ago. A pleasing change, if change is what it is.

I've only ever seen it to the right of Zazzle's description. Nothing seems to have changed as far as the descriptions go.

I liked it better on the side, also. As it is now, below the fold, customers might not even realize there is more than one image!

I'm not sure which of us is remembering correctly. I do remember others complaining about the last change because it vastly demoted our descriptions, and more recently, I was having to do a lot of scrolling to find my descriptions. I could swear things have been shifted.

I've yet to get used to the product views being beneath rather than to the side of the display image. I assume they're shifting things to narrow the page width, thus accommodating the many shoppers who use phones.

We recently made this change to the desktop website to show better visuals to customers. We didn't make any other changes to the desktop website. I don't think we've moved the product description or design description in a few years now.

The mobile website (viewable on phones) uses its own type of layout, which I believe is unchanged.

Thank you for the explanation. However, I think it is better to have the images on the side, so that customers can immediately see that there's more than one image, before they scroll down. If they are below the main image, then the main image needs to be smaller, so that the other images aren't below the fold.

I agree.  Took me a while to realize the images were even underneath the main image and on some of my designs, there are different photos on each side.

I agree that the location of the product images should be on the side. The larger (main) image does not help with recent comments about products (pillows was one) that seen ti be smaller than before. Those images should be cropped in closer not the entire image enlarged. The enlarged image uses up too much space (possibly the reason why the alternate images were re-located).

I really don't like the different views being below the main image.

I am really finding this to be bothersome. The main image is bigger, which I don't find necessary because zoom allows that - but with my computer's screen size, I have to keep scrolling up and down a little bit every time I want to view another image (in order to see the whole main image).

l prefer the images on the side, it's much quicker editing views in the back end with the images on the size. Less scrolling. And the images load quicker too

I agree that it was better for the additional images on the side. I usually ride with changes, but this one doesn't seem to be helpful to either customers or designers.
