Suspicious DM from someone claiming they are planning to buy a product wholesale...

... And sell it in large quantities. It was a two part message that started with the auto "someone had a question about [product link]" Then they asked if I could talk about it on Insta and gave my a name and an icon description. I just had a feeling in my gut that something was off, this wasn't like any other DMs from shoppers I've received before. Then I googled it and nothing came up. And I mean nothing. I was asked to search something else

I'm already uncomfortable with the idea of someone reselling my designs. But this user sounds like a bot as the zazzle account was also empty. It also sounds strange to me to basically say, "I'm going to take the design you spent hours on then ask you to promote me."

Has anyone else received the same or similar DM?

I am getting Zazzle messages daily from a different person, but it's the same message. They want me to open an Instagram account, then they want me to pay them to promote my products on their timeline. The first one I told them that I had no problem with them promoting my things as an affiliate, that they could earn a decent supplemental income from it and I shared with them the Zazzle link to how to be an Affiliate, they responded that they didn't work on commission. Are you getting messages like this? "Hello, I like this product very much, I plan to wholesale in large quantities, can you talk about it on my Instagram, my account is chitomokoo, my avatar is a woman sitting in a pool. looking forward to our cooperation" All messages are the same just a different member name.  They are also contacting me on facebook also.  When I responded to them that they were welcome to promote my products as an affiliate and that they could earn a decent supplemental income by being an affiliate.  I shared with them how to become an affiliate link, they replied (Facebook) that they did not work on commission.  But that did not stop them, they message me daily the same scam message with the different Instagram member names.

This is a bot, so you are going to get the same replies. Its spam. They aren't people having conversations with you, once its set up. I think the more you interact with the bots, the more they might target your account to try to get you to do whatever their end goal is. Just spam them. The language itself is a red flag. "looking forward to our cooperation" isn't typically how a conversation goes between two real people. and their reply of don't work on commission was a blanket reply to because you said nothing of the sort in your response. English isn't the first language of the spam farm/spammer that rolled the bots out. Just report.

Yes, I got 2 messages saying the same wholesale routine, they say contact me through Instagram. I knew right away it was a foreign person because their grammar was slightly off. I just blocked them. Zazzle should look into this.

Two days now I have received spammy and suspicious messages asking me to connect with them on instagram, not really stating what they want and won't reply when asked. They just make a new account and do it again. I have reported this to Zazzle. They are using the same message under different names.

Interesting. I had a similar message starting with "I like this product" and I don't know which product they talked about. Then it said "I want to sell in large quantities". Then an Instagram address. I checked my Instagram and I could not find their name. It was suspicious to me in the first place.

I reported that suspicious message to Zazzle and I blocked them. Don't follow any link that is suspicious. Take care.

I did not get this type of message, but i was contacted on another platform by a possible scammer who wanted to be my "financial slave"....  Maybe Z can put together  an article with all the info they have on scams...

I went to the link for this stay drunk guy you referenced and found it's a private account with 70 posts, 174 followers, and the option to report the account as being a spam account. Reporting these at Insta may get some results.
