Sweets Selling?

Hello designers. I was wondering how well the sweets, like cookies, brownies, & chocolates, sell. I haven’t sold any yet (not that I have that many), and I’m thinking they may be a little to much on the expensive side. What are your thoughts?

I sold several of the chocolate boxes, but they are gone now. I have sold a few of the candy tins. The edibles never really flew off the shelves for me but I am probably not the person to judge the favor type products because I don't really design for weddings and events much anymore. That seems to be the market for that stuff.

I haven't sold any either.  I also think that they are on the expensive side. However, I was told many times that people who buy from Zazzle are not into finding a bargain.  They are supposed to be people who are looking for something unique not found in any other store.

I have not sold any, either. I only have a few, but they have never sold. I really think that they are way too expensive, which is probably why.

Interesting question that I get the feeling may never be answered other than in the negative 😛 - those doing it successfully may not care to share.... I have a few products, but also have never sold any. I also do not do a lot of party/wedding/shower type stuff, which I expect may be the main market for them - people who buy a whole bunch of matching items. I'd bet baby showers and kid's birthday parties would be the best bets.

I have however purchased something similar..... though not from Z. It was years ago and I got them right from a local bakery, but it was the same process - printable frosting sheets. I made up a bunch of cookies with pinup girls for my husband to take to a bachelor party.

I think if Zazzle lowers their prices, at least a little, then maybe they would sell. I know that you can get the Hershey's kisses favors through Amazon for much less.

I understand that Zazzle is geared to a "high class" consumer, but if it's hindering sales, I would suggest lowering the price. They are extremely expensive, even with all the sales. Just a suggestion, no offense intended to anyone!

Well if the prices don't scare the customers away, maybe the shipping costs will do the job.  I know that you can sign up for Zazzle Black shipping which is a lot cheaper but not every one may be interested in signing up for that, especially if they are new to Zazzle.

I also have never sold any of the edibles and have wondered if I was in the minority.

Apparently not. 😞

I have sold some in the past, more a few years ago than lately. Do a search for a certain product and see what type of items sell best on that product. For the price to make sense they need to be something they can't get elsewhere, usually personalized, and usually for a special occasion.

I sold one order of the customized kisses in January, and two sets of frosting rounds in December, but that's been all.
