Everyone should go and report this video.
@Zazzle - What can be done to prevent this from happening in the future? Noone would even know people are doing this if this was not made and shared. It would be great if your legal team contacted this person.

So this is what she is teaching everyone
1). Take a screenshot of any product that you like.
2). Go to VistaPrint and have said product made.

3) Throw the product away because using a screenshot of the design tool will result in a low quality image. They won't realize this until it arrives in the mail.

She took her account to private but the video can still be viewed. She shows the products that were made via VistaPrint and they're not blurry. https://v16-webapp.tiktok.com/54bb2bfd807a49a102d2c68458216fe7/621ab633/video/tos/useast2a/tos-useas...

I had not planned on creating a TikTok account, but before I even read your post I had created an account so that I could report. I am astounded that it's a photographer showing people how to steal intellectual property! @PacifierCity
Thanks for posting this @JaymeLee I finally got the sound working.
@MarilynR here's your chance to create an account and learn about TikTok

@Windy I reported it w/o creating an account. They did not have a stealing intellectual property option... but I clicked all the way through it report it anyway. She probably hid her account because a few of us reported her. The designer could sue her or report her for criminal activity. She should know better. I bet she'd be pretty upset if we went and found her photo shop and stole her photos and started making products from them... anyway.
The point is that you don't need an account to report on tictok. That;s a good thing.

You don't need to watch it to get her name and google her... it's right in the link to the video.... and she comes up easily in a search.

If you turn off customization while publishing then they can't because they can't open the design tool. The downside to that is it also makes it so customers can't transfer designs (something that happens pretty often with me).

Yes, that's not an option for me as I encourage customers to customize, transfer etc. But it is worth noting thank you!

Someone should contact RusticWeddings and let them know in case they want to litigate. The thief's email is at the bottom of the video, not to mention the info on the invite itself.
ETA: I contacted the store to let them know about this thread.

The hard copy ones that she admitted to stealing and taking to VistaPrint belong to PeachBloome. The demo on the screen that is used to "walk" people through stealing any invitation via Zazzle is under RusticWeddings.... PeachBloome would have to litigate since the woman in the video admitted to using PeachBloome's designs for her wedding and showed the hardcopy proof..

Yeah, the goal was to show Zazzle and the community what is going on... because in the video the woman states that you can and do several things...
1). save a lot of money doing this with "any invitation" that you like. It's not just the ones in the video up for grabs.
2). People will get the idea and use whatever screenshot that they want of anything on Zazzle and take it to VistaPrint. VistaPrint offers a lot of products like Zazzle...
3). Screenshots are translating into products that aren't blurry via 3rd party (such as VistaPrint) as the woman demonstrated in the video.

I'm just now realizing you were the OP.
I imagine that happens all the time here. VistaPrint is just as liable. Maybe someone needs to put some pressure on them as well.
The terrible thing is that these people probably think it is perfectly fine and legal to do these things. This one demonstrated her thievery to the world like she was not only justified but proud of figuring it out.

Yes, people think anything on the web is fair game. I used my photos to create change of address cards for a friend one time - she didn't like the breed of cow I had on the photo so she stole a photo off the web and told me to make her cards using that. I told her it was illegal and if she didn't like what I had, she could make her own. (I was giving them to her as a retirement gift, so they weren't even going to cost her anything - but my aggravation is beside the point - lol)

Given the video is promoting illegal activity, a report from Zazzle to TikTok should result in it being removed, surely it goes against their terms?
I would like to see Zazzle being proactive re this sort of thing (and I am sure they are), especially re things like this which have the potential to go hugely viral. I don't think it should rest with us to chase. We do not have the resources and it affects Zazzle as a whole much more than each of us as individuals.

I get that it is not all Vistaprints responsibility to prevent this type of behavior but I just went to there website and chatted with one of their people. I shared the video link with them and explained a little about what happened and how she has made her account private...etc.
The person was very nice and explained that she is escalating it up the line... which is all she can do. But at least she did.

It's bad enough to steal wedding invites.
It's another thing to publicly share how you did it, using an account you use for business.
And then it's a whole 'nother level of stupid to share, inside of that video, your personal details, your full name, your fiance's name, your town, the location of your wedding, and the name of your wedding website.
Is it possible that people simply do not know that this kind of theft is wrong??

She is absolutely a pro photographer and working for several years at it. Fully fleshed out website, nice Facebook page. I am thoroughly stunned to see this video. I was also surprised to see that the dozen or more comments on the TikTok were supportive and thankful; not a one pointed out the theft. But maybe she had along the way, deleted any comments to that effect. TikTok has been up for months.

Well, I can't make either video link work, but I wonder if anyone has considered contacting this person directly. I think the anonymity of the internet has trained people to believe that they aren't really harming anyone through this sort of behavior. They probably just think (like most people do) that everything on the internet is free for the taking - or at the very worst that they're "stealing" from some giant wealthy corporation that won't miss the income. Maybe if they understood that they're hurting individual artists who are actual human beings, many of whom barely make enough money to put food on the table, they'd think twice. Probably not, but hey, a girl can dream, right?

If PeachBloome needs/wants a copy of the video, or if Zazzle wants a copy of it, I did download it. Send me a chat and we can send a copy.
Please note that we will only send a copy to those two entities so please don't chat me to get a copy if you are not them.
