Will you all still advertise on Twitter now that it is going Private with Musk? With that freedom of speech thing it could get a little wild in there.

Yes. I will still use Twitter. Won't pay to advertise, if that is what you mean.

Our entire life is Twitter-less and Facebook-less. And we're doing just wonderful without either. There's more to life than social media platforms 😄👍

I don't blame ya I do have both of them but about to give up on facebook mostly go there to see the Grandbabies. But never got the hand of doing things there for the shops. Twitter was a job and it didn't spread a lot of links for me. So that made it a bummer when they sold it.

I meant to say I am getting lots of links there couldn't figure out how to change my booboo lol

I stopped using Twitter a few years ago. But I might start using it again. I am a passionate advocate of that freedom of speech thing and a little wild is how I was raised, lol.

I rarely use Twitter and Facebook for social media and even less for promotional purposes. Pinterest is what I use.

I love Pinterest too I have a good following there was just wondering if there was anymore places that can help since I may be leaving twitter. Thanks for the info. it is an awesome place

I am looking forward to how Elon will change Twitter! As a fellow Aspie, he's bound to do something quite bonkers.

Yes, this should be interesting at the very least.  🙂

I'm just gonna set back and see what happens for now all I can do,

I have spent a long time trying to get my Zazzle image to show so at this time I couldn't care less. Have never used FB to promote. Am not a huge seller but keep my hand in after 12 years

I quit Twitter ages ago, mostly because it never seemed the right platform on which to sell. Everything is here today, gone tomorrow. As for the bozos who treat nastiness as a sport, they were always there, but so were a lot of truly decent people. In case some of you don't know this, Twitter became infested with bots and humans who behaved as bots, and Elon is now trying his best to get rid of the infestation. I suspect he'll be making it a better place for all kinds of people. The one thing I'm curious about is if he'll allow the various governments to continue pushing their weight around on the platform.

The above doesn't mean I'll go back to the game just like I won't go back to Facebook, where I still have an account for the single purpose of periodically looking up a person or business. Social media just doesn't do it for me. On the other hand, I've always loved forums because each of them has been well-focused.

I am only following animals and a few Zazzlers and artists for happy stuff on Twitter now. I fully understand where you are coming from.

I agree. I have not seen much out of Twitter at all. So I use it pretty much never for Zazzle now, and occasionally use it to test a link (long story, link checks are crazy difficult on an iPad, for some reason). I mostly use Twitter for breaking news, to find out what people on the street are saying about the situation as it unfolds.

I find that many Zazzlers post constantly on Twitter. At one time I thought that meant these Zazzler were having good results with their Twitter posts and making sales.  Now I realize that these Twitters posts  are just echoes of posts the Zazzler has been making elsewhere. (Zazzler posts to Facebook or a blog, and the program they use autoposts the same content to Twitter. )

Hi Everyone,

This is undoubtedly an interesting time that we're living in, but let's also remember that we'd prefer to keep conversation in these forums focused on Zazzle. If you're interested in discussing non-Zazzle topics (Elon Musk, Tesla, free speech, bots, etc) then we'd prefer that happen elsewhere.

Hi Scott,

I see you missed my original Twitter post! further up when on this old thread I quote " I have spent a long time trying to get my Zazzle image to show so at this time I couldn't care less. Have never used FB to promote. Am not a huge seller but keep my hand in after 12 years "

I have still been tweeting Zazzle products on Twitter and pinning them at the same time. Sometimes, I tweet my themed Pinterest boards featuring Zazzle products. I know that today's announcement doesn't mention Pinterest but I can't help but wonder if it is next. I believe that businesses should promote themselves on as many social media sites as they can comfortably and coordinate between sites. Today's announcement sounds like that may be unwelcome on Twitter. So, we may pull  back from using Twitter even though it has worked well for us.

Okay, Twitter rescinded the ban in less than  24 hours.

I closed my personal twitter account years ago, but my store does have one and is set to auto post three times a day through dlvr.it.  So for that reason, I pay close attention to what the "Chief Twit" is up to, and the policy changes.  Especially yesterday's (now scrapped) new policy about self promotion.  As it turned out, it was only limiting FREE self-promotion to a handful of other social media platforms, it wasn't limiting promos for zazzle products at all.  Had zazzle been included in the list of platforms, I'm would consider opting in for PAID advertising, depending on the rates.

What happens with Twitter? I can't post my Zazzle product link. It magically disappeared. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

I'm not a fan of Elon Musk and I've considered deleting my Twitter account.
