Using iPad only

Is it possible to manage my store and create products using only my iPad? Has anyone managed to do it? I'm having trouble with a few things ie. organizing a collection, deleting an item in the design tool, etc. Or do I have to continue to have a laptop too? Thanks 🙂

I use iPad pretty much exclusively. Collection organizing is missing entirely. However, up until a few days ago, you could manage to reshuffle a little bit by removing an item from the collection and then readding the same item to the same collection. This process is now extremely onerous due to site improvements made a couple of days ago.  You can still do it, but the hyperlink which used to exist in the announcement that you have added your item to a collection is not functional. I guess it's a bug, but I am afraid to ask about that. It's still blue, but does not work like a hyperlink, so when you click on the blue name of the collection, nothing occurs.

I have been told these improvements are permanent, so it's just not going to be possible to reorganize items in a collection on the iPad, in any time efficient way at all.

As for deleting an item in the design tool, that's easy. I just highlight the item and then click the delete button on my keyboard. My ipad has a separate keyboard and I use the Apple pencil. If you are trying to do it without the attached keyboard, maybe there is a delete button, or maybe not. I don't know.

Maybe you will find the EDIT button on the top tool bar of the design tool helpful. That comes with a CUT function. That should let you delete.

Thank you @Windy 🙂 I do have a keyboard and pencil so that really helps. I put in a suggestion to Zazzle to add a different organizing option for collections, but that was 6 months ago so I’m assuming it’s not on their agenda. That’s a good tip about the cut function on the edit menu! I was having some troubles working on a combination of a windows laptop and my ipad so was hoping i could work exclusively on my ipad. Sounds like it’s doable 👍

Happy to help. Another thing which is not available on the iPad is the functionality of renaming images, or at least I can't find a way. I have trouble locking elements into place, but other iPad users here tell me they are able to do it.

A few other notes: when my design tool image gets out of whack and too big,  and I can't seem to get it back to a usable size, I hit the P key and that usually fixes my trouble. You can nudge a design by using control key plus the arrows.

I probably would be a lot more productive if I just used my desktop....but most of the time that's just not convenient, and I find the iPad works for a number of tasks.
