What do you mean by a 5x7 flat table card? Are you asking for table number cards? If so, then it would be great if you could make 5x7 an option for table number cards.

Also, are these collections supposed to be new? And why the specification for horizontal save the date cards?

Look at their sample layout — I think that is how they will set it up for marketing purposes.

I would also like to know this, I am working on some new artwork at the moment but with a cut off at 50. By the time I finish my painting it will be probably be too little too late! I have a few others that need a couple of extra items but thinking to stand any chance would be best to use my existing artwork instead if allowed? Can we submit more than one design?

Cat

I do think they might get better results if they gave us a bit more time and made it a more equitable process. Seems likely they passed 50 submissions in a few hours.

Have they passed 50 already? I been pushing myself to finish my artwork but agree I don't want to create things that aren't good enough still a long way to go... 😪 and still not sure we should submit on the 5"x7" Table Flat Card?

Cat

I have no idea, but I would guess that they're WAY past 50 submissions by now, but that's just a guess on my part.

I guessed for the 5x7 card and made it a table number. I based that on the fact that when I searched the marketplace for "wedding table card" that was what came up, but really who knows what they wanted.

Kinda frustrating... I mean I understand if the marketing department just needs something quickly, but the instructions were very confusing and nobody's answered any of our questions. Oh well. I killed myself for one day trying to put stuff together, but I don't have it in me to do it for several days in a row, plus today I was slammed by customers with shipping questions that I couldn't answer. Sigh.

I am still ploughing through anyway. The way I look at it at least I will have more products quicker in my store 😉 Good motivation to work a bit faster and finish off my new artwork if nothing else 😃. As for shipping questions I have been getting more of those too. I don't mind those as I have my stock replies ready now to direct them to directly to Zazzle 😎 works a treat!

Don't know if you saw James' reply, but they've removed the 50 submissions limit, so you're probably good. I guess I may have to get my rear end in gear and make some more now! 😀

Adding a 5x7 card (table number on the design) is a workaround to add more sizes for the current table number cards that are only set to 3x5. We are considering expanding this offering moving forward of course.

5x7 horizontal save the date is specific to this creative asset, but they can add a vertical version if they would like..

Should the submitted collection include only the requested items, or should I submit the entire collection?

Hi Cat, You can submit more items than just the ones requested. Thank you for asking.

Can you tell us when you have reached your 50 admissions cut off please.

Good question — I was going to ask myself.

I figure that by time I submit mine, it will be too late for the 50 cut off. I too have a question about the 5 x 7 flat table card. Is this suppose to be a table number card?

Also it shows two photos. Is the first one suppose to be one collection set and the one below with the wine label a separate collection. Or would all of the products listed be in one collection?

I assumed they were two separate marketing campaigns and that a submission only needed to require the products listed in one of the two photos.  That is purely an assumption based on each photo and list below.

I assuming that you are right. Though I started one with all the designs. Wasting more time. Plus I did not read about this until a day later.

As others have said, the 50 submissions cut off is a turn off for me. Having a deadline date would be fine, but setting a limit of 50 with no way for designers to know when that number has been reached just makes me feel like not bothering to submit.

Right? This seems like a recipe for shoddy work, IMHO. I spent the whole day yesterday frantically designing in the hopes that I'd get something submitted before they reached the limit of 50. Even though I was mostly transferring designs from other products and tweaking for their size requirements, it still took a LOT of time, and doing it in such a rushed fashion I'm sure I made plenty of mistakes. Just seems like a bad approach to me.

not to mention that for me, a fall theme is so off putting, I' m so UNinspired by that, now if they had wanted a color scheme, THAT is something I could work on.. 🙂

There is no need to worry about the limit of 50, now. I have removed this requirement from the form.

The 2 sets are just an example of some of the creative assets that we can feature different collections and we may call out later for newer assets as well. So, you are not limited to designing to the products in either set. Those are just minimum recommended products so we can try to feature, but of course don't forget that there are other products that are high performers as well. The more products you include in your collection the more options the wedding customers can select from since we do know that wedding customers like to buy coordinating suites.

So, for wedding stationery these are the components that perform:

  • invitations
  • rsvp card
  • thank you card
  • enclosure card
  • stickers (includes address labels)
  • envelopes
  • stamps

For wedding décor:

  • signage is our biggest seller (welcome sign has high search)
  • table top signs
  • programs
  • menus
  • place cards
  • table numbers
  • favor boxes (higher search volume than favor bags for wedding)

Hope this helps!

Do eucalyptus/ greenery designs count for fall? They are good for all year.

Also, are we SUPPOSED to stick just with fall, or can we submit anything that was mentioned in the Wedding Trends Guide?

Wildart

Eucalyptus definitely counts IMO, and foliage always popular right now. I am trying to stick with fall faliage(your counts since the leaves don't fall as such, but actually some leaves often do change color a bit don't they? (kiwi here 🙂 ) you could make then slightly warmer?

no idea about wedding trends, mustv missed something lol, will go and read it again! have fun designing

Well this just teaches me to never take a vacation 😅 Now I am frantically submitting and wondering if my submission will even be seen this far into the contest. Oh well.

Wildart
Valued Contributor

trust me, we are all still submitting. HINT - make a collection with your first item, then just add to the collection as you complete each design, that way the concept will have a chance to  be seen before you have completed all the items.

I doubt the team reviewing submissions will keep popping back to check if a collection is completed. Surely they will just look at it, see it is missing all but 1 item and discount it as being a valid submission? I could be wrong, but this doesn't seem practical. What one can do though is submit what was requested as a the minimum and then for your own benefit there after continue to add to it.

Connie
Honored Contributor

Yes, I just got back from vacation as well, and now I'm rushing to submit a few designs. I'm basically just adding the appropriate products to my existing suites, because it would be too time consuming to develop a whole new design, especially since fall isn't my favorite season or theme!

Hi gang,

To follow up on a deadline or guidance on content creation here.  I would advise you to follow the moment's Calendar for this request and any similar. July is the peak season for fall wedding season. 😁
