Will zazzle end up like redbubble?

What do you think? Do you think Zazzle will end up like Redbubble and Society6? By having payment plans and merging companies and changing rules

What do you mean payment plans?  Do you mean that we would pay to have a Zazzle store?

That's what Society6 did initially. But then they ditched that and just removed most people from the site.

I too got a mail from Society6 that am removed from their artist group ! What ever doesn't  matter as I never had a sale there.

I am happy and love Zazzle, please stay free forever for us 🙂

I don't see that happening. No proof that they wouldn't consider it though my gut is saying no. Anything we add to this conversation is only speculation. 🙂

Aren't both Redbubble & Society6 now owned by the same Australian company?

I belive so. Society6 just canned a bunch of its artists. I only support usa based companies.

Unless it's changed, Redbubble and TeePublic are owned by Articore Group Limited, an Australian company and S6 is owned by Leaf Group, an American company., who also owns Saatchi Art, Livestrong and eHow.

Redbubble doesn't charge designers who put in an effort. I have never paid a fee there. Zazzle is successful and they are successful because of their designers.  They have no reason to charge their designers absurd fees.

S6 is the best evidence of how you kill a company overnight. I don't think, Zazzle wants to experience the same fiasco. Plus, Zazzle has always been on a whole different level, starting with the excellent design tool, continuing with the huge assortment, and ending with how they have put their efforts into customer care and service/product quality. 4.5 on Trustpilot with over 23k reviews and 79% being 5 stars is respectable. There may be slightly better ranking ones but no one comes near to Zazzle's assortment and designer tools.

If you are an artist looking for a great POD place where you can put your art on a ton of nice products which you can offer to your followers and customers with peace of mind, I doubt there is anything else better than Z. At least I didn't find anything. For slapping stuff on most possible items with the least amount of effort possible, there are better places, which is good for Zazzle and its designers who care.

Credit where credit is due. Zazzle may have its quirks but for artists who care for advanced design tools, good quality products, and decent customer service (we don't wanna sell/recommend bad stuff to our friends and fanbase), the company is a top pick, IMHO. I can wish Z only the best since their success is also our success. Now I only have to beat my laziness and perfectionism and become more productive.

After what has happened to PODs lately, I cannot discount Zazzle having to take drastic measures IF THEY HAVE TO. It's the economy. Why buy stickers and mugs when you cannot buy food and pay rent?
S6 was a lousy POD to begin with. When they introduced their paid memberships, I took up the offer for only 2 months simply because I have over 4000 designs up there. I finally gave up on S6. With 4000 designs up and one or two sales a month? Come on. With the same amount of sales on seven other PODs, I make anywhere from 3 to 4 figures each (although in all honesty these past months have been getting really lean).

PODs are being hit hard. Zazzle used to be my strong, steady earner, but now I'm happy if it equals my RB payout. I even see my RB and TeePublic sales going down beginning 1st of March. I think there will be lots of things happening this year... so fingers crossed and prayers for all of us!
