Zazzle Cards sold on Ebay

While perusing Ebay this evening I noticed someone is selling a lot of Zazzle Cards on Ebay with the Zazzle logo on the back of the cards.  I didn't realize Ebay allows this. Does anyone know?

It's dropshipping, I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as the seller isn't using Zazzle Black for free postage. I don't know why it would be against eBay rules but I'm not that familiar with eBay.

Alternatively they might be selling 'used postcards' that they themselves have been gifted or purchased.

ZAZZLE CARDS ON EBAY     Here you will see the cards I am referring to on Ebay. They are using Zazzle's mock up images for display.

Interesting. They're selling some of my Easter cards. I can see by my sales history that I've sold individual cards to a buyer from Irvington, NJ...which I'm assuming is the Ebay seller from the same town. That's quite a mark-up! Not sure what to make of it.

That shopper seems to have a one hundred percent rating on 20 sales, if I am interpreting correctly. Might  be a way to establish some seller cred right off the bat when starting a new account. But yes, seems like a crazy markup and I did not see a way to do any personalization.

That's very bizarre, I'm assuming they change the shipping address because they wouldn't profit if they had to receive and post out again. Perhaps take this as an indication you can raise your own royalty rates. Either way Zazzle doesn't have an issue with dropshipping. Sales are sales.

I used to sell for many years on eBay, I doubt it’s against the eBay rules. But I wonder now what Zazzle Black is?

It's a shipping "membership" - you pay a flat fee for a year's worth of shipping. There's a tier for regular and tier for fast shipping.

I am not surprised. Why aren't there any Easter product teasers on the main page of ZAZZLE? At Christmas they are. That's strange. In this situation, it seems to me that it is actually easier to sell Easter products on Ebay than on Zazzle.

Not only is the mock up the same as Zazzle, so is the text they use text used to describe the product and what have you. They offer free shipping in the US.

This is really very interesting. The organization selling these Zazzle items,  has a podcast at https://omnipleasantofferings.buzzsprout.com/ A

They list 1,041 products on EBay, with some 131 sales so far. I can't tell if they buy on spec and keep these cards, shirts, buttons and posters in stock, or if they simply buy an item from Zazzle when they get an order on EBay. One hundred percent rating, store opened two months ago.

They're all over with also a Youtube channel and a FB Page. Their FB Page has 23K followers and they recently (Feb 29) posted about their new eBay store.  There's also an older abandoned FB page for this same person/group where they were sharing Zazzle products directly, all from their apparently now-defunct store. Maybe they decided it was better for their needs to re-sell on eBay rather than run their own Z store.

The first card listed in their eBay store (link here) is @grafixmom 's (link here). A good bit of a markup but still inline with what you'd pay for a nice Hallmark. Also shows 9 available/1 sold so they probably bought 10 off of Zazzle and mail them themselves to the buyer?

Anyway, for those of you with cards here, you might want to reach out to this person to try to get self-referrals out of it. Like, hey, I am the designer of this card and pleased you're selling it, but if you use this link when ordering them, then I earn a little change, too, and doing that absolutely in no way increases the cost to you .... You might also be able to interest them in doing designs custom for them.

Seems to be a moot point now...apparently their store is now "sold out." Go figure.

Huh. If you click on the individual card link from my post above it has this at the top of the listing

This listing was ended by the seller on Thu, Mar 28 at 1:16 PM because the item is no longer available.

Wonder if Zazzle or Creators reached out with IP concerns and he took everything down.

They have some of mine, a couple of Easter ones and some birthday cards too. None of these are cards that require customization, though I did see they also have some invites in their store and ask the buyers to include all their personalization details. So, I suspect they are dropshipping. Well, more power to them if they've figured out a way to make money with this venture!

Absolutely. But eBay will „nickel and dime“ them to death and I do not envy them when they have to do their taxes, it was a nightmare for me each year. 🤦🏻‍♀️
