zRank for one of my stores rose from 6 to 7

I noticed that the zRank for one of my stores rose from 6 to 7 after I made a total of 3 referrals a few days ago (albeit 2 were for $0.00, as the customer wandered away and purchased other creators' products) through the Promoter 2.0 program.

so referrals do indeed cause a rise in zRank, even if it's just one referral that earned me $.

When my rank went up to 7, I thought it was because I was sharing more consistently on Pinterest, but maybe it was getting more referrals.

that was my first thought (and hope!) too, since I've been promoting quite a bit since late 2022, but since I was invited (and accepted) into the Promoter 2.0 program on Tuesday, I cannot think of any other reason for the sudden uptick.

It may be true that referrals make your Zrank go up, but one would think the number of sales would also have an influence on the Zrank.  When I first started my Zrank went up right after I made the first 3 sales. Since then I have had a lot more sales and achieved ProSeller status, but the Zrank stays the same.  Some people claim the ratio of number of sales to products in a store plays a part, but that also doesn't hold true in my case.  I have created 2 more stores since then with less product than the one store I had at the beginning and with more sales in each, yet the Zrank didn't go up.

The people who appear to have really high zRanks are most likely doing a great deal of selling, promoting, and referring.

Got a very tasty referral sale just last week, and saw my store rank go from 7 to 8.

As a newbie here, can someone explain how to get referral sales for your own designed products? Or point me in the right direction?

I promote exclusively on Pinterest. It's hard to earn referrals, period, but I have earned 15 percent referrals on my and others products, rare as they may be, by attaching my RF code to the product link.

I joined the Promoter 2.0 program last week and have already earned 2 self referrals worth 35 percent each on my products, using clean links (i.e. no RF codes attached).

Thanks to both for the replies!

🤞I will be invited one day.

@Pixelan If you already have social media accounts through which you already promote your Zazzle designs, it doesn't hurt to sign up to request an invitation to join the PP 2.0 program, rather than wait for the ball to land in your court.🙂

Thanks, I actually found the link to the form and signed up and also enrolled as an associate, hopefully it will be alright.. I'm active on twitter, pinterest, instagram and facebook. It has become part of my weekly routine 😀 will let you know how it went and if Zazzle accepted my application. Else I might try again after a few months..

Looks like that program could help me grow my Zazzle business, we'll see.

@Pixelan great to hear that you are active on the social media fronts, and best of luck with the invitation!
