I've just started designing my own products, and one feature in the editor that I find I'm really missing is having vertical and horizontal rulers.  This would help me with two different issues.

First, sometimes I'm not clear about how big the area I'm editing is (especially on things like shirts), so having a ruler would make that information easily visible.  Second that feature would make it easier for me to see exactly how large the elements I'm working with are instead of having to eyeball them in the preview.  For example, I was recently using the tiling tool when designing wrapping paper, and in order to figure out what size the tiles were (and I wanted them to be pretty small) I had to count how many tiles appeared from top to bottom and then divide 30 by that number, since the wrapping paper is 30 inches wide!  I don't want to admit how many times I lost count and had to start over 🤐

Yes, definitely need rulers in the design tool as suggested.

AND

Movable guides on the top and sides—like the ones I drag out of the ruler on Illustrator for precise positioning of objects—and used to divide the design area into thirds or more. Stationary grids aren’t very useful.

AND

While you’re at it how about options that allow automatic equal spacing between objects vertically and horizontally?

That’s it for now.

Agree with everything mentioned above : )

@Jadendreamer13 The equal spacing thing already exists - it's the "distribute" option under the align tool.

Rulers would be really helpful - it would also help if the grid tool could be customized to make the spaces between the lines smaller and to show center lines.

@Jadendreamer13, I just found that there is a way to space objects vertically and horizontally!  First select all of the objects you want to space out, then click on the 'align' button.

At the bottom of the window that pops up, you'll see the 'distribute' option.  If the 'artboard' button to the right of that is checked, then it will distribute them equally across the entire page.  If the 'selection' button is checked, then it will just distribute the objects equally across the space they take up.  (I hope that makes sense!)
