Chat messages aren't dated, having only the day of the week and time of day. For example, Tuesday can occur up to five times a month, and there's no way of knowing if the person sent their message this Tuesday or last or even if it's actually an old message sent a month ago.

Could the messages be dated?

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for your feedback here. I'm sure this would be possible so I have sent it to our team to investigate for you.

Thanks again,

Pádraig

It should already work this way.

@Scott
It now seems to be a mixed bag. I had wiped out all chats except for the last three, and the two older ones from August now give the month, but the latest simply says Tue 8.59 AM. I could swear all three had only the day and time, which is what made me post about it.

This works just like most other popular chat apps do, which is as follows:

  • messages from the past few days provide a day/time. For instance, "Tuesday 8:59am"
  • messages older than a week list the date. For instance, "Aug 20th"

in the same boat as @Barbara. the newest chats don't have the date stamp, but the older chats do.

Now I understand and also understand why I didn't know what was going on: The Zazzle chat is the only one I've ever been involved in. Apparently, the same is true for you, @WHS_Designs . 🙂
