It would be wonderful if we could have categories for collections, at least on the back end. Then we could move whole segments of collections around, such as moving all the Christmas collections to the front for the holiday season. It would also make rearranging collections much easier in the back end.

Hey @Connie,

Thank you for your suggestion. I will happily pass it along to the team.

Hiya Connie. This is definitely a good suggestion. It's great to see that you've already started creating your store on SnuggleHamster.com. (SHD). I hope you'll consider taking advantage of the automatic design grouping suggestions waiting in your store management. I see that you did create a first collection though. Did you know that SHD's collections can include other collections? A collection can include other collections, designs, and of course products. So it's quite practical for you to duplicate your Zazzle store's hierarchy of categories, collections, and products. And actually do more. Zazzle's custom categories great, but you can't put a product in two of them. Which is one reason we often struggle to decide between categories and collections for organizing our content. With SHD's collections you don't have to weigh the pluses and minuses of the alternatives. You got both in one and more. And there's no indexing delay to wait for. Your stuff is available immediately.

Side note. You can also select one of your SHD collections to act as the showcase on your store's home page. Giving you fine-grained control over how you're presenting your catalog to customers. Everyone can learn more about our collections from our knowledge base at https://snugglehamster.com/article/what-is-a-collection .

Hopefully Zazzle will expand our ability to group categories into deeper hierarchies in time. Thanks to Mark for following up.

@JimCarnicelliYes, I haven't had much time to work on SHD, but I do like the fact that we can put products in multiple collections. When I get some time I really want to fine tune my SHD storefront. Is there still a 1000 product limit, though?

We still need a way to control our collections on Zazzle itself, though. As collections and collection types are expanded, it's getting harder and harder to keep track of everything!

@Connie: I still haven't found a way to fully overcome the 1000-items-per-search limit for a store's products per se. But I did recently find a way to get up to 6000 products for a store. So it's an improvement. Cheers.
