Many Zazzlers have more than 20 collections. Would love it if I could set the default number of collections to 92 or 200 so I didn't have to change that every time I'm looking for something.
@Caprice Hi Caprice, I understand why you want to increase the collections default number. If zazzle changed the default settings, it would probably be coded for every user. To explain my thinking,…If the ‘default’ collection view were set to 92 or 200 for everyone, (right now the default in the drop down is 20) it would mean that ‘every time’ that larger new default number of 92 or 200 on the collection page continuously /repeatedly is loading for any and all users on the site, i am surmising that it could put extreme stress on the servers. Multiply that by how many larger default number collection page loads for users, as in shops and customers, at any given moment….probably would give new meaning to ‘slow’ and even overwhelming ‘server error’ messages….these are just my thoughts, which may be off base., hope what I wrote makes sense to you. Server errors are extremely frustrating.
And so,,regardless of what I just wrote your idea may very well be workable!
Hopefully zazzle techs will soon weigh in with their views and reasoning about your collections default question. Maybe they will say it is do-able.
