I have many discontinued products within my category structure. I'd love to be able to move them to a hidden category so that I may go through them at my leisure and decide whether to transfer their designs or not.

Currently there is no option to do this under the Actions tab.

@LMGildersleeve  How about just EDIT DETAILS with the new (hidden) category?

Good idea @BKMuir  that's a good workaround for single products. 😊
So perhaps it would be nice for use to select more than one (which I neglected to mention in my request) of these Discontinued products and mass move them to another category.

I just tested this and it seems to work.

Create your DISCONTINUED category.
Open your discontinued view.
Select multiple items.
Select EDIT DETAILS
Open CATEGORIES
Select CHANGE/STORE CATEGORIES
Select the new DISCONTINUED category
This should move multiples to the new category. (my test showed the newly selected category was saved, but the indexing has yet to MOVE the items to the selection. I think there has been some discussion of this delay elsewhere.)

I tried this method Bonnie but under Actions there is only the option to delete. I tried singly and in bulk and there is no way to change to a different category.

Are you sure the products you were selecting were indeed Discontinued. Or are they just out of stock and marked as Discontinued?

That was my experience, too. Back when the zipZ shoes and something else were confirmed as actually discontinued, I wanted to do exactly as you're wanting to do - create a private Category just for discontinued items. But as you said, the only option is to Delete so you're stuck with them in whatever cat they were in. So I ended up just deleting them, even the ones that had sold. Lots of reasons people might want to keep discontinued items so it would be great if Zazzle gave us the option to move them, but I suspect that since the only option is to delete them, that's their way of encouraging us to get rid of them.

OK - The one item I tested was the Mason Jar - it is in the DISCONTINUED sort. I was able to re-categorize it yesterday - this shows in the edit screen. Still hasn't MOVEd to the new category.

Other items I tried (phone case and snow globe) Have totally lost the edit capabilities ...

We really need these SORT options to correctly sort by OOS and Discontinued - this is the main reason that I do not delete anything.
