I love the new wording used for 'edit using design tool'. The only problem is that this is still hidden at the bottom of the pop-up window for 'personalize this template'. In many cases, especially for invites, this can be a very long list and thus a customer would have to scroll down this long list of template items before even finding this design area access. From the chat messages I receive, it's obvious that many customers don't even know that the design area exists. Why isn't this made a prominent option on the product page....why hide it in this out-of-the-way location??

Just noticed this looking at an invitation in the marketplace. It's for this product type. There is no such button, all the options are just there ever-present on the right side of the product page. Thought maybe this was for mobile users but no, on my Android phone, via the Zazzle app or my browser, there is still no such button, the options are just there on the page. This line only appears when the 5 x 7 size is selected. * Also - there are 8 total sizes, not 8 additional sizes 😉

This problem has been going on for a while now - I reported it back on the old forum and was assured that Zazzle had it under control, but I'm getting more reports of foam core boards arriving damaged. I've got a lot of wedding designs on these - seating charts, welcome signs, etc, so often the customer is working within a tight timeline and there isn't much time for a replacement to be made. I've referred the customer to support, but I just wanted to flag this issue again because I think there may still be a problem with the maker.

I'm still ruminating over the problem I posted here of helping customers choose the right paper for their wedding invitations, programs, seating charts etc, and I had a new idea. What about offering a "paper sampler" for designers and/or customers at either a free or nominal price. I'm thinking along the lines of fabric swatches or those cards you get in paint stores with color samples. Ideally you could order a little kit with samples of all the papers available for a given product. They wouldn't need to be big pieces of paper - maybe business card sized - with the name of the paper and/or description printed on each one and maybe a rainbow of colors at the bottom so you could get an idea of how the paper would impact the printed color. It wouldn't be quite as nice or illustrative as ordering a sample invite or card, but it would certainly be a more universal solution. It could even be a perk available to designers who have reached a certain level - it would be infinitely more valuable to me than business cards.

I'm getting a lot of questions from customers about paper types - mostly for invitations, but for other paper products as well. I try to point them to the page that describes all of the paper choices in detail, but since it's a popup, not a standalone page, I can't just send them a link, so it ends up being this complicated back and forth trying to point them to the correct location - especially since directions on how to find it vary depending on the device that they're using. Would it be possible to get standalone links to the pages describing all of the paper choices for various products? AND, it would be really helpful if the paper descriptions could be a bit more descriptive in terms of the weight of the paper. First of all, the descriptions generally give a paper weight, but it doesn't say if that's a cover weight or a text weight, and there's a BIG difference. Most customers won't understand that jargon anyhow, but even for us designers, it's very confusing since it isn't specified. Could the descriptions on paper sheets be modified to clarify if the paper is a cardstock or not? This is the main question customers have, and it's a source of great confusion. It really matters because some designs are supposed to be folded, and others are supposed to be flat, so the customer needs to know what they're getting. It would also be helpful if we had more granularity in specifying which papers are available for which designs. The other one that's a big deal is the poster papers. People seem to assume that the canvas gloss will stand up without a frame, but I don't believe it will. It needs to be clear that none of the poster papers are sturdy enough to stand up without a frame - I believe that's accurate - that's what I was told from a Zazzle rep on the old forum anyhow. Maybe Zazzle could do a video for each product, showcasing the different paper types? It would be easier for customers to see the differences in thickness that way. Thanks for considering this... it would be really helpful if this process could be made easier for the customer.

Had a question from a customer and wanted to have her add me as a collaborator so I could adjust her images for her. Was going to send her a link to how to do collaborations but searching help gives you options that mention collaboration but nothing that is "here's how to collaborate". Given that a search for collaboration is likely to be because I want to know how to do it, this isn't super helpful.

The glass "texture" overlay put on the glass cutting boards is terrible, it destroys the whole design, especially on the flat preview and on darker designs. Please get rid of it or add a more subtle one (on all previews). Cutting Board And here on plain black Cutting Board p.s. temporary product draft

Thank you, Zazzle, I love the new foil cards! I was wondering, is it possible to have the option of raised invitations, as well? (Where portions of the design are raised.) I've seen this elsewhere, and it really creates a stunningly beautiful effect. Just an idea I thought I'd put out there for future consideration.

Yes. This is a big ask. It would be quite powerful if we had the ability to convert text within the Zazzle design tool to native graphical elements/shapes like we have now (square/rectangle, circle, triangle, line). Once text is converted to a graphical shape or element, this opens up even more design possibilities with advanced effects like masking with graphics and other shapes. This would also reduce the need to upload graphics files (at least for designs that are primarily text-based). Thank you for your consideration, W.H.

Just thought I'd let you know, you have "Blame Someone Else Day" on September 13. This is wrong. This observance changes every year! "Blame Someone Else Day" is ALWAYS on the first Friday the 13th of every year. For this year it's May 13. ~~~~~~~ Your Hairstylist Appreciation Day is wrong also. It's always April 25th (not April 30). The sponsor changed the date to the 25th about 3 years ago. I didn't consider these "technical" problems so I didn't post this there. If I should have, I apologize.

I am beside myself - I just got an email from a good customer - I did her entire wedding suite for her and this is the email I just got : Hey there! I want you to know that I am beyond thankful for all that you did for me! You have done such an amazing job, but I’m seriously thinking Zazzle is just NOT The place. I finally got everything in except the custom envelopes for the invitations and went to put them together and discovered that the invitation, belly band and RSVP card are a completely different shade from the thank you card, return labels and the honeymoon wishes card. The team at Zazzle seriously needs to get a handle on the color issues in printing - I have tried to contact support via email and it falls on deaf ears - PLEASE Zazzle - esp the wedding suites Need to match and be the correct color - Im upset to tears right now - what is going on in the printing department? I have never had negative feedback until recently.. so was there changes made? if so can we please fix them? If word gets out that Zazzle is NOT the place for wedding suites .. this will hit me and many others very hard - just coming out of the stay at home years - brides are happy to get out and have big weddings - this kind of feedback is not helping.

I want to recap and itemize issues I am experiencing in my stores, and have been for months+ and years. 1) Grouping: A. I have a blanket design in many colors. 2-3 of them are selling well. Those blankets are shown on the first few pages of marketplace searches. That's good. But, because Zazzle has grouped all the colors into one product listing, the other blankets are not seen. Now, those colors are being hidden by Zazzle because they haven't been seen in whatever the time limit is. Now I have to go in and "optimize them", even though the title, tags, and descriptions are fine. But, because there is also a glitch with updating titles, tags, and descriptions...those hidden blankets are once again hidden, needing optimization again and again. Several glitches at play here, but this line item is to focus on Grouping...which caused the problem in the first place. B. I have a lot of apron designs, each design having many color options...per my training. These designs have each been grouped together. Now, when someone buys a gold apron, they get it with a hot pink strap...because grouping does not work right and all the straps (which are offered in standard and custom colors) are not matched up to the right apron. This has resulted in many many returns. Also, there are many many aprons being hidden by Zazzle because, being in a group, they are not being seen. They need to be optimized. I have been going back and forth with Zazzle and I am being told I have to change the titles and tags, so that the parameters are different enough that the auto grouping won't group them together. But, I can't, because the titles, tags, and descriptions won't update. 2) Titles, Tags and Descriptions Not Updating: I have "optimized" over 500 products in the last 2 months. They are still being hidden and all optimizations are lost. 3) Promotions: I am in the Promoter Program. I am building my Social Media sites and populating with my products. There are too many products to catch every one that might be hidden, so I am promoting products I later find out are hidden because they need to be "optimized". So I am going back and removing those products. 4) Featured Products Not Updating: I have attempted to add more products to my featured products several times. This has not worked for me for 2 years. 5) Products Not Showing Up In The Marketplace: I have had problems finding my products in the marketplace. Some kind fellow creators have looked and reported back they see them here and there, offering advice that maybe the tags are the problem. In several cases I would agree. Our stores are a work in progress, trial and error plays a big role in perfecting our titles, tags and descriptions...even with the best intel. However, I have continued to monitor this issue... in particular towels I made, for the towel sale a few days ago. Those towels weren't found, then surfaced for a few hours, and are again gone. I just searched under only 1 term- towels-. I went through 13 pages of only the "Newest" towels. No other search terms. Page 10 started with a towel Product ID: 256119408499598231 Created on: 3/25/2022, 12:44 AM, 2:25 AM. Page 11 ended with a towel Product ID: 217167951086258276 Created on: 3/24/2022, 6:44 PM. My latest towel, Product ID: 256589761887520488 Created on: 3/24/2022, 8:00 PM was not there between those 2 products. It should have been. The same thing has happened a lot in the past. Where they aren't seen, then they are seen, then they aren't seen again. Something is going on. I have provided product numbers, but it's like taking your car in because it's making a funny noise. The problems are not able to be reconstructed. In summary, I am not posting this to whine or complain. I am not trying to harp on things that have already been reported. I am itemizing several of these issues in one post, so "the powers that be" can see what we are facing as we get up and into our store every day. I am at a point where I am so frustrated I don't know what to do first. The only thing I CAN control is creating new products. Meanwhile, my Zrank has plummeted, I'm sure because 1) there are so many products needing optimization, 2) my sales are way down due to either a) hidden products not being seen in the marketplace, b) products that are clicked on that don't go anywhere because the product is hidden. I apologize if this reads like a rant, I do not mean it to. I just needed to itemize everything so maybe Zazzle will read this and realize the collective impact these "glitches" are having on its creators. I appreciate it very much when a Zazzle rep says they are sorry for the issues and they are sorry the fixes are taking so long. But, if I am to survive, I need these items fixed. All the new bells and whistles in the world are not worth it if the nuts and bolts don't work. I pray, I really really pray, that this post finds its way to upper management, not just stopping at the front line. This year is moving into the second quarter already. Please please please hire the talent needed to fix these system errors that your current talent cannot get a handle on. Please help your "creators" or soon we will be called "ex Creators".

I hope this can be added to 'Zazzle's lengthy 'to do' list. Thanks! This first image below shows a design on the new foil invitation using a black background. The second image is on the same design with a white background and the final image is the same design on one of the older folded greeting cards. As you can see, on the black background the in situ looks like a flat yellow with no texture or color gradation...on a white background it looks slightly better as it shows some depth. The in situ for the folded greeting cards is so much better as it shows some texture and variation in color. I wouldn't be tempted to buy the invitation because it just doesn't look like foil. I noticed that the preview images have changed for the neckties. The new previews are an improvement in that they show that the printing extends to the back of the tie, but now there are 2 new problems. First, the material looks completely flat - like there's no shine to it whatsoever. The material hasn't changed, has it? Secondly, there isn't enough of the tie showing - it's rolled up too far to adequately display the design. Could we get a "best of both worlds" preview? One that shows that the back isn't white, but also shows the quality of the material more realistically? New preview shown in product image, old previews shown in "other designs you may like" below.

It would be extremely helpful if we could edit existing tags without having to delete them and repost them in the tags box. For example, if I transfer a wedding invitation design to a birthday party invitation, and my first tag is "beach wedding," it would be AWESOME if I could just change the tag to "beach birthday party", without deleting the old tag and typing in the new one. this would preserve the correct order. As it stands now, if we want to change the first tag, and keep it as the first tag, we have to delete ALL the tags and relist them, otherwise that first tag when deleted and changed, will become the last tag.
