I think its high time that the minimum royalty before the carve out for designers (or creators or whatever we are deemed these days lol) should reflect the same thing that is happening everywhere. Prices on products have increased across the board, but we are still charged an additional fee after 14.9% which has been in place for a decade+. Should that not also reflect the times? We should be due for raises too! The minimum percentage that we place on our products before the carve out should be increased a bit in my opinion. Maybe 17 or 18%...

Thank you! Cheers.

@Shakenbake
Possibly 18% might work for most shops...
Of course that means that shops who have percentages/royalties set above that amount will still get "carved out", so to speak. And shops who want to avoid the carve out will be "encouraged" to adjust their royalties down to 18%. Fortunately shops can set royalties for various products at whatever they choose.
Using Z royalty settings sometimes are all over the place for each product created, very frustrating. It has been requested many times for Z to check into those settings. Also consider that when you adjust royalties (for the 20th) they don't always take. (see past posts about it in the forums)

Creators do get raises at the same time when prices are increased, since royalties are based on product prices. It’s a win-win situation.

Hi @Shakenbake

Thank you for your suggestion here, I will pass this along to the team for their consideration.

Just to clarify the two fees:
royalty rate 15% or higher> 5%transaction fee
sale referred> 20% carve out fee

Raising the royalty rate to 18% for the 5% transaction fee deduction to kick in would definitely help shops.

Yes, @idraw, what I am referring to is the carve out before the 5% transaction fee is deducted. I do not agree that it's the same thing, @Jadendreamer13

The penalization before we are paying extra fees for transactions should simply be raised. It doesn't matter what prices are or what customer are paying, the revenue share is still the same as it's been for ages, and I think it should reflect the times and be raised a few % points.

If not, it's all good. But I think it would help people. Without eating the cost elsewhere, I think if creators could set their base percentage a little higher before they are paying the 5% transaction fee, that would be really great for creators. Any of us who are still going above that would still pay the 5% but I think it could be a win.win. But Idk, just thinking thoughts,..

I think too high of a royalty will scare customers away and that is why I just reduced my royalty to 10%.  I want to be competitive with my product costs and do not want to scare customers away.

Z product costs have gone up across the board due to inflation and at a 10% royalty, I am earning more.

With so many customers shopping the sales I want them to know they are getting a deal.  Their money will go further when they pay less.
