Major Centering Problem With Designer

ok first im not trying to come off offensive, rude, or anything. i love zazzle, im still new to the whole thing, 8 months and i put alot of time in here

but there is something completely not right with the way the designer centers anything. text, images. its pretty basic, anyone can see it. i was an ace drafter in high school and again im not being insulting, i cannot believe the designers disrespect for centering.

its a simple concept, put the image or text on the center line and it should be centered exactly

i couldnt get a screenshot showing the center line mac wouldnt let me it takes it from the image but you can trust me i know where it is

and this is where the designer actually put the text on the product. 65 pixels from the right side of the phone

and 58 pixels from the side of the phone

it happens all day long making products, images and text do not center

it happens on any product, maybe it works out on some products where they are centered, but ive been dealing with this the whole 8 months ive been here. and i end up manually centering alot of stuff because the designer is faulty

i wasted months after i made templates for Quick Create, made alot of products, then realized none of the text was centered on them, tons of products. i had to throw them all away.

then painstakingly, and i mean a pain, center every products text myself. its hard because you cant get it 12 pixels this way and 12 pixels that way. the centering tool bounces around and is honestly off center every time you cant get it exact

months it took me to redo all my templates, then post my products with quick create i had to do for the second time

this whole thing is not about quick create just making single products too

i started putting notes to the buyer in the personalize thing that they may have to center their different initials or text themselves because the designer we have doesnt know how to center it itself. i didnt write it out to them like that i was just making a serious point, the designer is not right, its faulty and doesnt work properly

these are not a few select problems that only im having with a few random products

I can’t post photos right now…. But look at the template guidelines for Iphone cases. You’ll note that there is a larger bleed on the left side than on the right. Why this is, I cannot answer, the printer likely has a reason….. but this is why the center of the template is not the center of this particular item.
If you size your text box to the ‘safe’ area (green dashed line), which generally is a best practice anyway,  and choose center justification, your text will be centered on the item.

Part of the problem is that various fonts have different spacings, so that each letter centers up differently. It is especially problematic with script fonts.

ive addressed this issue before, ive proven the designer does not work properly, it does not center text and images on any product. earlier this year in this new forum and had a moderator from zazzle respond, ive talked in email to them

here i am again to mention how i have to redo all of my welcome signs because a certain font doesnt center properly

i started them so long ago its hard to believe i didnt notice how they werent centered, but zazzle does change the way certain fonts appear and they do change on your products, where they show up.

earlier or last year i had to change alot of thank you cards, the font never centered in the first place, zazzle changed the font and my products were ruined, so i had to do them over

alot, so much of my time has been wasted not because of my inability, but because of zazzle. im not here to cause problems, relate in a bad way, just stating the facts and they should be addressed by zazzle

lack of respect for their designer, the designers using it on a daily basis, and customers, products arent centered properly

and even such petty things as centering one or two sides on a mug. do you know how long it can take to freehand center one side of a mug, then have get it exact again. it should do it for us. i bought one my mugs, i thought for sure i had it centered both sides, threw it away when it got here it was no where near

anyone reading this who has had these problems please i wish you would mention it
