Since collections are the main focus now, we need something in the back end to quickly see where items are missing from collections. If I search for a wedding design as an example, I would be able to find products that need to be added to a collection by scrolling down and looking for ones marked as zero. Products that belong in more than one collection can easily be picked up too. Currently, I have to click through each item just to see if they are in any collection and that is super time consuming.

@sm if you go to view public storefront you can see which items are in a collection

There's a burger menu on the product image that turns blue when an item in is a collection.

I agree - we need an easier way in the backend to quickly sort which items aren't in a collection.

@Sara_H thank you, that's helpful for public products, but won't help to find hidden ones. Plus I would still then have to switch back to the back end to add it to a collections if I find some that aren't in there already. I suppose I could use two browsers as a work around but thats a bit of a PITA.

Still better than nothing for the time being.

@sm you can add to collections from the storefront by clicking the burger menu (it will be white if the product is not in any collection) click the plus button and a pop out window "Add to Collection" will appear

@Sara_H Was on the phone before. I can see it better now on the laptop. I didn't think we could do anything like that in public view. That's good to know as I hardly ever look in the public mode. Now if only they put the collections they are in on top, that would be a decent workaround for the time being, but still, when you have products in different collections, it would still be great to see it in the back end and to see the number of collections they are in. Eg, if I have a wax seal sticker that suits 5 collections and I see the number 3, I will instantly know that I have them missing in two, just by scrolling down the page. It will be a lot quicker than having to click into it to see. I am mostly finding things are already in place but I still need to check each one because sometimes they didn't migrate into a collection or I've missed something.

@Sara_H , thank you for that as it has highlighted another issue. I put most my wedding items in collections yesterday and the day before, and a whole heap of them have dropped out so now I have to waste time doing them again individually. How annoying. I know they were in their collections, because I saw them in there. This makes me need this feature even more in the back end so I can add them back in bulk.

ETA: Scrap that. I now see that they are in fact in the collection when I switch back to the back end, so the public view isn't accurate, making it useless. I guess there is some delay, but days? Yeah, we really need this in the back end as working in public view isn't a work around. It's a time waster, even bigger than clicking individually in the back end.

@sm as ever - it takes time for the site to index. And yes - can take days. Hopefully we'll get backend tools to help with collections
