I'm pretty sure this was discussed in the old forum but I don't know if it's in the works to be fixed?? I've seen other designers mention this, so I know I'm not the only one who accidentally sends garbled, unedited, half-messages by hitting the return button in chat. Since I'm not a very good typist, my answers usually require a lot of editing before I dare hit send....and with Chat I'm often left red-faced; my goobledygook has been sent and it can't be edited. Sigh.

Happened to me a few times too!

Need to keep remembering to hold shift and then press return.

Yes, it would be great if we can also edit the message after sending at any time prior to the customer reading it (not after obviously). Not sure if that is technically possible but it would be handy.

As an example, on occasion, I have thought something was not possible and replied to that effect only to do a double-check and see that it is. for example, who knew the tri-fold self-seal invitations are also available with an envelope.

@Baylee  As a workaround, it could be helpful to type a response into another page, and then copy and paste into chat when we are happy with the final edit.

Google drive works great for this. I have a page I call "scratchwork" and I can open that up easily and use it as a scratchpad.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your feedback on this. I'm not sure if there are any changes scheduled for this but I'll pass it along to our team again for review.

All the best,

Pádraig 🙂

Thanks @Pádraig, much appreciated.

And thank you too @Windy, that's a good idea. I think I 'll do that until we get a fix.
