I've ordered a couple dry-erase magnetic sheet items, and both times, dry erase markers (various brands and colors) have been impossible to fully erase, and left smudges of the color wherever I wrote.

However I did also try wet-erase markers, and those seemed to work better without leaving much of a trace after erased.

I may suggest looking into this and perhaps changing the name/description of them. The item I ordered was on this template: https://www.zazzle.com/pd/spp/pt-gotchacovered_magneticsheet?size=85x11 but 11x17 size.

Or is this just me? LOL

This sounds like something Zazzle needs to look into.

I have one of those, and yes, you do need to wet-clean them.
